In my vast experience, 2 people, 100% of Auburn fans are sensitive that way.

Congrats, even in the event of an unlikely comeback.

I hope Okeeke's injury isn't too serious. He's likely out for the playoffs.

Better than TN, again. Will be able to claim superiority to KY if Houston wins, or will have a chance to exact revenge on Sun.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:50 pmI hope Okeeke's injury isn't too serious. He's likely out for the playoffs.
Surprisingly, it makes no difference to me whether the Zags beat Duke, MSU or VT in the semi, but I personally prefer it if Duke gets that far. Of course, Texas Tech would kill me dead.

Wow. Both VT and Houston could have tied it on easy shots at the end, but blew it.
Because of other results today it turns out that the Kentucky win does NOT drop my Zags best bracket from 1st to 4th. IF Auburn beats VA to reach the Final, which 0% of us predicted, and then loses to the Zags, I win still win 1st, $162.75.

I had thought the Duke and Kentucky games would be decisive and Auburn winning in a squeaker or losing big. Shows that I didn't have the faith. NC also appeared to have been convinced that they were going to win big.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 12:44 amWow. Both VT and Houston could have tied it on easy shots at the end, but blew it.

I couldn't understand why we were playing inside for the entire first half for the first time ever, until the 2nd half. Only 5 3s in the 1st, 12 in the 2nd.
UNC played as clean a game as we have been in all year.
And finally, Pearl's breakdown over Chuma showed (to me anyway) a coach much more concerned about the kid than about winning at all costs, unlike a so-called journalist who peddles bs because it sells better than honesty.
And on to Kentucky - our last loss was to them. They beat us by 27.

My winning Houston is out and I can only score further points on Gonzaga Elite 8 and final 4 wins, 2 of the remaining 7 games. I’m pretty sure that won’t even get me back to average.

Chuma has a torn ACL, surgery on Tuesday. I hope it doesn't hurt his draft pick too much, or if it does, maybe he'll decide to give us another year.
Kentucky will be tough without him.
Speaking of Kentucky, I sure hope they don't get to bring their boy Doug Shows.

Re: College basketball
I can see that they're being lulled into complacency . . . almost.
Last year the University of Maryland, Baltimore County became the first 16-seed to defeat a 1-seed in the men's tournament by defeating Virginia 74–54, the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history. Whatever happens now, Virginia and its fans must be sooo relieved to reach the Final 4.
UMBC then lost to 9 seed Kansas State in the Second Round, who then beat 5 seed KY before losing to 11 seed Loyola–Chicago, who then lost to 3 seed Michigan.
This year 4 seed Kansas State lost to 13 seed UC Irvine in the 1st round.
Madness.
In Yahoo! I'm now at 34/58, 2,427,536th Rank out of 3,077,061 Members and can't win any more after the Gonzaga loss. I'm approaching and will certainly reach the 20th percentile today. How low can I go?

OT, of course.
Close. I tried Nate Silver on your advice a couple or three years ago. It did not go well. He originally had UNC and Gonzaga in the final 4 this year (and Duke and VA). Anyhow, that was my throwaway, Houston wins it all bracket.

Up next #3 Gonzaga, Wed. 1700 ET. For your sake I'll hope that Duke beats it worse than it did Auburn. Good luck vs AZ Wed. 2330 ET.
March it is. I would not lay a bet on the outcome now.
SAN DIEGO STATE 79, XAVIER 74
Funny how this doesn't sync with Duke-Auburn and yesterday's games. Maybe y'all drained Xavier.
Looks more and more like a possibility.

Now 2,430,492nd Rank, a change of only 2956, meaning that only 0.096% picked Auburn to make the Final 4.
0% of us predicted TT to make the Final, too. Our pool could realistically be done after the semis.
