Trump a few days ago: it's outrageous my campaign was investigated by the FBI!

Trump today: Why didn't they tell me Flynn, a member of my presidential campaign, was found out to be a bad guy when the investigation was going on!

The president seems to be trying to spin it as the FBI just up and deciding to investigate his campaign "just cuz". Deep state and all that... I think this is what most people are being led to believe given the sound bites I've seen making rounds.

But in reality there was credible evidence some shady stuff was going on, hence his campaign being investigated.

Also, I seem to recall Obama going to McConnel about all of the shadiness, asking how to approach the matter without seeming biased. McConnel shut him down. Now, here in the present day where we gish-gallop down that endless road of confusion till our minds have been shaken into a slurry, the spin is "if election interference was so bad why didn't Obama do something about it and bring it to our attention!?"

One can make the case that Obama should have ignored McConnell and been more aggressive, as was so often true during his presidency. Trump works really hard to make sure he IS the news everyday. Having said that, however, I think it would be better for everyone if all the media would ignore him until/unless he actually does something - and sometimes even then. Covering every tweet and snark like it mattered doesn't help anyone.
