Most KOA's are franchise or licensees. Good chance the gun-wielding bag was management. Also good chance KOA will show up and pull their sign off the wall. Now every campground has an online presence and gets comments. "Rude management" or even "management threatened me..." might not get much attention absent some pattern, but pictures of one of the managers/employees with a gun will really ding them.
And it might not be the only time the bag was foul...

TERRIBLE PEOPLE, TERRIBLE PLACE!
This is a privately owned establishment, not affiliated with Oktibbeha County.
My brother and I went fishing and within 10 minutes it started raining. I noticed a general store (which had nothing inside and what it did have was over priced) near some water slides and decided to talk to the people and see what the place was all about. I asked them if this was privately owned and they said yes, so I asked about fishing there. They said "only for campers" (they have a campground) so I said "OK, have a good day" and left.
As I went to get my brother and leave a black Dodge Ram pulled up. An old, fat, and mean grey haired white lady slammed it in park and jumped out screaming "this is private property, y'all need to get, I'm calling the police". I told her "ma'am we are leaving, I just spoke to you". She got in my face screaming "I don't care, I'm calling the police". I said "you are a very nice lady, have a good day", my brother said "bless you".
I was getting in my car and she pulled up super close to me while on her phone driving crazy. We left and that was it.

A broad definition of "Fire her" is fine with me.

White or Black, I wonder. Blacks might be more likely to self-identify as being Black, but are also more likely to describe a "mean grey haired white lady".

It does say she was a "property manager" and was fired.
She currently does not face any criminal charges.
However, she could.

True, but most of the impetus for this resulted from video of the alleged offenses that for the most part seem to convey racial bias, fear, suspicion, subliminal guilt, whatever.......that reasonably meet the criteria of proof. I was just glad to see something like this get some traction and was also amused and not surprised that a GOP wingnut would inject some dumbfuckery into it. I bet that same asshole is in favor of pardons for war criminals; he'd make a good Nazi.

The incident involved a campground employee and two persons seeking to access a lake via the campground’s private property. Unfortunately, the campground franchisee’s employee felt it necessary to display a firearm during the interaction with the two individuals and their dog.
Kampgrounds of America does not condone the use of a firearm in any manner on our properties or those owned and operated by our franchisees. KOA also will not tolerate discrimination or incidents of racial bias. The employee involved in this incident, along with her husband who also worked at the campground, have been terminated at the Starkville KOA. The local authorities have also issued a statement surrounding their investigation via a press conference last week.
For the past 57 years, KOA has prided itself on providing quality camping experiences to millions of camping families. Everyone, regardless of all preferences or ethnic backgrounds, are welcomed as our guests. We regret any anxiety or doubt that has been raised by this unfortunate event among our millions of faithful camping guests. We vow to do everything we can to raise awareness among our staff, our franchise owners and their employees regarding the issues raised by Sunday’s experience.
Our KOA owner families are hard-working, caring small business entrepreneurs who pour their lives and their livelihoods into providing quality camping experiences to their guests. That won’t change. We vow to continue to do all we can raise awareness across our system on these vital issues.

That woman could have taken the Biblical advice that if your eye offends you, pluck it out. Had she done so, none of this would have happened. I suspect she is just one of millions of "Christians" that are fake Christians.....the worst fucking kind.

I'm not surprised KOA took quick and appropriate action. Even though franchised, they're pretty well controlled, with KOA claiming somebody inspects every KOA every year - not all the same guy, I assume. They're often fairly close to highways, and most tend to be best for short stays, but overall they're a reliable place to stay. We've been in a bunch, and I can't think of more than one - maybe two at the most - that we wouldn't go back to.
But back to the story - if anyone thinks that fat lady wasn't racist - we've sometimes stopped at a KOA as a rest area, just ask if it's OK to park in the lot for a half-hour or so, use a picnic table or walk around the park, and we've never been denied or run off - even without the gun.
