I've never really thought about it, but I don't believe anyone can discern any type of sexual perversion tendencies via casual or even repeated contact or proximity to another person who may be a sexual outlier. For example, I may have my eye on a really good looking sheep or lamb but you'd never know it from just looking at me or through casual or work related contact with me. And besides, my theory of ambiguity with regard to sexual behavior based on casual contact would seem to be proven by the fact that I myself have more than once, after seeing a particularly striking woman at the store or anywhere, wondered "I wonder if that woman would like to...." Well, never mind that.

But I think you're placing what you already know about Epstein into your opinion; I mean, if one day you meet this rich dude and he's all chummy and there's no teenage girls in sight, I don't really think you would suspect him. I now must have to say I am not defending a pedophile; just making the point that casual aquaintance won't necessarily reveal sinister proclivities; the fact that he did it for such a long time tends to validate the concept. In any case, he's tried to kill himself in prison; being in prison is bad, but failing at suicide in prison is beyond my comprehension. Fuck Jeff. He was incognito but now he's just in.

Lots of people who run with those crowds are slimy, but not everybody is a total crook or pedophile. And sometimes they can go for a long time without getting caught. Bernie Madoff comes to mind.

I would like to think that he was the kind of person I wouldn't want to be around, even if I didn't yet suspect abuse.
