Tony Dungee should never be allowed in a booth.

Not only did someone pay $$ for The design on the Buc uniforms, someone else was paid to say "hey, these are good".
Oh, those out there today aren't the worst Buc uniform.

They do have a history of bad ones. But I do have a soft spot in my heart for the Creamcicles. My dad and I had season tickets for their first five years. I sat through a lot is losses and I was too young to drink.

O Really and Vegas were correct, with Vegas overestimating the Buccs' spread by just one. I went 1-1.

8 and 8, backdoor into the playoffs.

How very 2020, but life for one more week then probable death by Drew Brees.
It's hard to beat a GOAT. Good luck.

Lots more balance in the AFC, anything can happen in any game.
Ravens @Titans. Go Ravens!
Browns @Steelers. They're 1-1 this year. I like both, but the Browns have waited longer.
1:05 PM ABC/ESPN: Baltimore (favored by 3.5) @Tennessee
4:40 PM CBS: Chicago @New Orleans (favored by 10, ouch). No preference here.
8:15 PM NBC: Cleveland @Pittsburgh (favored by 6.5)

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke makes case to 'be in this league a little longer' with effort vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Washington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke didn't win the game; he did, however, win over a team -- and maybe more.

Heinicke, starting for the injured Alex Smith, made plays with his arm and legs -- just not enough of them -- in Washington's 31-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round of the playoffs on Saturday. Heinicke didn't get the win, but he did complete 26 of 44 passes for 306 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He ran for a score, as well.

And a player who was out of the league for nearly two years did prove a point....

When Washington called in December, Heinicke was taking four math courses at Old Dominion University. It was finals week; he received permission to take two of the finals after the season.

Washington liked that Heinicke knew offensive coordinator Scott Turner's system, having played in the same one for two years with the Minnesota Vikings and for one with Carolina Panthers. That's when Heinicke got his only start prior to Saturday. He exited that game with an elbow injury that later required surgery. Durability has been a question for the 6-foot-1, 210-pound Heinicke.

He was released by Carolina in the final preseason cuts in August 2019 and spent the year out of football. He eventually signed with the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL but did not play in any of their five games. The end appeared near for the 2015 undrafted free agent....

Woo-hoo! Win the SB now that the Seahawks are gone! Lamar Jackson, 2 of top 3 rushing performances by a QB in playoff history in only the 1st playoff game of his 3rd year. 16 CAR, 136 YDS, 8.5 AVG, 1 TD, LONG 48, including a coup de grace 33 yd scamper on the final possession.

Also, Derrick Henry held to 18 CAR, 40 YDS, 2.2 AVG, 0 TD, LONG 8 is killer D!

Holy crap! 21-0 with 5 to go in the first.
Big Ben is 22-1 vs the Browns.
The Browns have not won in Pitt since 2003.

Edit: 28-0 with 2 to go in the first.
Ben intercepted x 2, plus the Steelers lost a fumble in the end zone for the first Browns' TD just 14 seconds into the game.
"Most points ever scored in the 1st quarter of a playoff game." I'm not sure if they meant by just one team or not. I think they probably did.

Browns???!!!
Big Ben is 22-2 vs the Browns.
The Browns have not won in Pitt since 1/10/2021.

Interesting that all four 3 and 4 seeds got beat. 7 seeds did not manage upsets, though.

2-0 on the day, 3-1 on the weekend. Cool.

NFC

(6) Los Angeles Rams at (1) Green Bay Packers
Saturday, 4:35 p.m. ET on FOX
Line: Packers -7; O/U 46.5
No preference here, but I might take the Rams +7 if I was betting. It might be too cold for them, though.

(5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers at (2) New Orleans Saints
Sunday, 6:40 p.m. ET on FOX
Line: Saints -3.5; O/U 50
GOAT vs GOAT, classic. GO GOAT Brees! Not sure who I'll root for in the NFC as long as the Buccs get knocked out.

AFC
(5) Baltimore Ravens at (2) Buffalo Bills
Saturday, 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC
Line: Bills -2.5; O/U 50
Smallest spread. GO Ravens all the way, but I don't hate the Bills.

(6) Cleveland Browns at (1) Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday, 3:05 p.m. ET on CBS
Line: Chiefs -9.5; O/U 55
GO Browns! Browns-Bills would be a great matchup of 2 teams that have been in the wilderness for a long long time.

After more than 1 quarter the GOATs are a combined 7-18 for 55 YDS, 0 TDS, 1 sack, and a combined rating of <100. :wtf:

Halftime, combined:
20-38 for 53%, 156 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT, 118 rating. Better, but still  .
