Trump is rushing to remind the media that he is the captain of the GOP, not Elon Musk.

The “President Musk” rhetoric gained steam among Democrats after the billionaire helped kill the continuing resolution to keep the government open, voicing his opposition long before the president-elect did.

But Trump wants the world to know he’s still the one calling the shots.

But it only takes a majority of House members to elect a Speaker. Considering the recent chaos and wingnuttery, I'd say Jordan is a real possible outcome if Johnson is kicked out. That's how fucking crazy these people are. They'd like nothing more than to institute more massive tax cuts coupled with massive cuts fo Social Security, Mdicare, Medicaid, food stamps, and anything else that helps poor folks. Their next trick will be to convince the gullible cult that a Constitutional amendment requiring a balanced federal budget is a good thing.......except when it would violate the Constitution to incur any expense during a national emergency or some other catastrophic event. They will never bring that aspect of such lunacy up, though. After all, they've somehow managed to convince, with an able assist from Fox News millions of nanowit Americans to vote against their own interests.
