Lady O and I are fortunate to live in a place with a pretty stable climate. If you had to guess without looking, and every day you guessed the weather would be 70's and sunny, you'd be right way more than wrong. So the weather chicks don't have much of a difficult job and therefore they make a big deal when they can. A quarter inch rain is treated like a foot of snow other places, and "cold front" means temps may get to low to mid 60's. So when they talked about "extreme heat warning", I'm thinking "yeah, yeah, what's it going to do, get up to 82?" But nooooo. This week its gonna be mid to upper 80's at the beach (above average but certainly not miserable), but inland, even a little, it's gonna be hot. They said Borrego Springs may be 115, but that's in the effin' desert, so what? Then they said Ramona - Ramona at 1,400 feet, not in the desert, and only 30 miles from the coast is gonna get up to 110. Real temp, not feels like. And then at least one climatologist says this may be the coolest summer we'll ever see again in our lifetime.
But at least it's good that Tru*p has declared climate change to be a hoax and disabled all meaningful communication about it. Otherwise it might really be dangerously hot.
