In 2008 the black Mayor of Goldsboro, NC stated in the local newspaper that he was voting for Obama in the 2008 primaries because he felt Obama would project a positive image for young black men. The black on black murder rate for Goldsoro/Wayne County for 2012 is not avialble at this time but crime in that locale has been on the rise especially the homicide rate; two more last week.
