Nah, the Terps have mostly always sucked, I believe inferior to UNC most years.
Ah, it's closer that I would have guessed.
http://www.winsipedia.com/north-carolina/vs/maryland
Damn, there's a website for everything, no matter how mediocre the topic is.
UNC leads head-to-head 37-32-1.
UNC .559 ALL-TIME RECORD, MD .519.
UNC 0 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, MD 1 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Hah!
UNC 10 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, MD 11.
UNC .417 15-21-0 BOWL RECORD, MD .464 12-14-2.
UNC 15 CONSENSUS ALL-AMERICANS, MD 12.
UNC 247 NFL DRAFT PICKS, MD 223.
UNC 25 FIRST ROUND NFL DRAFT PICKS, MD 17.
UNC 262 WEEKS IN AP POLL, MD 193.
UNC 1 WEEK AT AP NO. 1, MD 6 WEEKS.
This is fair to do since all of MD's good years were in the ACC, and long ago. If one weighted each metric equally, which is surely incorrect, the tally is UNC 6, MD 4. Let's just agree to call them the Terp Heels or the Tarps.

I'm sure there are lots of considerations and that not all are altruistic, but good on the GOAT for making his first NIL deal be with an HBCU player.Tom Brady signs Jackson State QB Shedeur Sanders to clothing brand’s first NIL deal
Tom Brady has landed his first NIL deal.
Jackson State quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is the son of coach Deion Sanders, signed a NIL deal with Brady’s clothing brand on Thursday. It marks the first NIL deal that the Brady Brand has since since it launched earlier this year.
... Shedeur Sanders, a former three-star Rivals.com recruit, initially committed to Florida Atlantic before he landed at Jackson State to play for his father. He’s led the program to an impressive 5-0 start this season while completing more than 73% of his passes with 1,713 yards and 17 touchdowns to just two interceptions.
The sophomore racked up more than 3,200 passing yards and 30 touchdowns last season....

Re: College football
Looks like it may be a long day for billy.p. Sorry.
On a lighter note, it's a beautiful fall day in Durham, and UNC has a good opportunity to assure a successful season by beating Dook at their house and becoming bowl-eligible. Or they could find creative ways to blow it. We'll see.
The U is so far off to a good start.
Go Vols!
Go Terps!
Go Huskies!
But do we get any of those games here? Except for TN-AL, nooooo! We do get Iowa State/Texas and Oklahoma State/TCU, so I guess we shouldn't whine.
