And I stand a chance of losing 2%, or $2.04. Not bad, for a tiny help in kickstarting the electric vehicle craze. I recommend it.Vrede too wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 10:12 pmI'll say! Vote with your wallet when the ballot box is broken. You know, we probably would have been here by 1990 is reagan and exon hadn't pushed for more ME dependence.

Actually, it would be $10.25 at that same 5% per year.
Nothing wrong with that at all. I was just pointing out the advantage to Musk, even if the cybertruck never pans out.Not bad, for a tiny help in kickstarting the electric vehicle craze. I recommend it.

Re: The car thread ...
Just for sport of discussion, he'd lose the potential of $10.25 only if he were able to get a 2-year gain of 5%. Noganna get that with anything other than good choices of investment, which could, of course, be less or more. Musk, on the other hand probably will get an equivalent gain of 5%+ because of it being a part of a huge investment amount. Unless he uses it to buy Tesla stock, which might or might not be so great.

I think it's fun to "buy" the truck for the $100, no matter if there's ever a real truck offered or purchased.

The DJIA has had an annual growth rate of 14.9% since 1/20/2017, lower than under Obama but still well more than 5%. Given this, I'll bet there are safer instruments that also top 5%.

Nice; Bugatti always was the pinnacle of style and elegance. All those cars from the 1920's and 30's really were works of art. Even though it's a French company Bugatti was an Italian immigrant. The guy died in the 40's and his son died before he did so the company was extinct for several decades. Whoever operates the company now seems to be continuing the legacy. The old man's initials E B with a reversed E is company logo.O Really wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 8:14 pmSome changes since 1937, eh?neoplacebo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 6:54 pmCustom Bugatti that's over the top. Okay, it’s been awhile since I shopped around. Even just 2% over 2 years = $4.04.
Dividend stocks often approach or top 5%.

A reasonable risk was loaning my Co-op a hefty chunk for what's turned into a wildly successful move and expansion. At that amount I think the return is 6%, but maybe it was only 4%.

The real time info. used by State Farm and perhaps other insurers to award safe driving discounts can be retrieved and used against you by cops and opposing attorneys in the event of a crash.
Idk for sure, but I'll bet that it could also be used by the insurer to deny claims when there's been what they say is extremely poor driving.
The app is a snitch.

Hah, the potty-mouth internet beat us to it, comments:
I can't wait for the Super High Intensity Truck Sale.
Hilarious that the current top two are our acronyms, but different.Subaru is also unveiling it's new SUV the: Sport Utility Customized Kit Special.
I'll wait for their upcoming conversion SUV, the Classic Off-road Camper Kit Sport Utility with Customizable Kitchen and Ergonomic Recliners
The next model.. Forester Ultimate Customized Kit EDition.
What's next, the Ascent Special Seating edition for Subaru's larger SUV?
As a graduate to the Florida University of Common Knowledge I understand.
Personally I want their new Turbo Ignition Truck Special

The app also I correctly records stopping. It would beep 3 times if I tried to stop at a yellow light from 55 mph. That's 3 dings against your insurance cost.Vrede too wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 8:59 amThe real time info. used by State Farm and perhaps other insurers to award safe driving discounts can be retrieved and used against you by cops and opposing attorneys in the event of a crash.

Works fine at 35 and even 45 but doesn't work with the time allowed for yellow in Santa Rosa county.
I even got a ticket once because I was trying to avoid the beeps and tried to go through on yellow. I was too late. I turned the thing in.

I'm like Aaron Rogers' sports agent in the State Farm ads; he doesn't have an app and I don't either. I came across this clip of Jay Leno's 1963 Chrysler Turbine car. I had a model kit of this car when I was younger and still remember how cool I thought it was; it was my favorite of all the car models I had.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:26 pmThe app also I correctly records stopping. They stop for yellow in Santa Rosa County? In my former part of Florida you didn't dare stop for a yellow or for that matter even the first second of the red for fear of getting rammed in the back. Which did in fact happen to Lady O. Light turned yellow and she started to slow down, then it went to red and she stopped. Guy hit her from behind and literally asked "what'd you stop for?" Not a lot of visible damage by an old Honda to the bumper of a Land Rover, but replacement did run up quite a bill for the guy, along with his traffic ticket.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:26 pm

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Friday it will review a petition asking the agency to formally investigate and recall 500,000 Tesla Inc <TSLA.O> vehicles over sudden unintended acceleration reports.
The petition covers 2012 through 2019 model year Tesla Model S, 2016 through 2019 Tesla Model X, and 2018 through 2019 Tesla Model 3 vehicles, the agency said. The petition cites "127 consumer complaints to NHTSA involving 123 unique vehicles. The reports include 110 crashes and 52 injuries," the agency added.

I've seen several articles about this but this is the first that said, "NHTSA released a redacted version of the lengthy petition that said "Tesla vehicles experience unintended acceleration at rates far exceeding other cars on the roads"
It drives very different and I might expect some few more than typical but this could be a problem
