Re: The Religion Thread
Yeah, it would definitely result in a rant about leftists and fudge and some idiotic reference to his fealty to trump and he'd throw in something about the impeachment of his idol and how it was all a hoax and how Democrats forced trump to break the law and fuck the country. He'd also work into it something about women who choose to have an abortion. But never in hell will he admit or address how his Christian cult has gone off the rails of what it started out as and what it was meant to be. Instead he will post a stupid comment about pollen or light jackets or post some other totally fucked up nonsense. Stand by.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 4:26 pmI hope cat doesn't see thisneoplacebo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 2:53 pmHere's a nice story about Christian socialists and how they lived true Christian values in their time. Former Obama adviser Rahm Emanuel repeated his “never let a crisis go to waste” catchphrase while discussing the coronavirus pandemic.

Yeah, you can pretty much count on 1cat to lie about everything. I guess I'll never understand how some seem to be able to hold their view of something in spite of reality.Ulysses wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 4:35 amWell, far be it for me to support Catpan, but Rahm did say something similar but not identical to that. The context however was that a crisis can give one to do things one might otherwise not think possible, such as to use the urgency that the chaos a crisis creates to make improvements to the processes and infrastructure to prevent a recurrence.

"The United States was careening toward a global depression when President Barack Obama named me his first chief of staff, and in those dark days, I uttered a phrase that’s followed me ever since: “Never allow a good crisis go to waste. It’s an opportunity to do the things you once thought were impossible.”
Today, faced with another crisis, we need to think strategically not only about how to address the virus but also about how the United States can come out stronger on the other side. We all know this won’t be the last time we confront a pandemic. But it should be the last time a public health emergency provokes an economic depression. We need to prepare for tomorrow, starting today."
I was almost never an Obama fan, but damn hearing any of them speaking now brings back memories of a government that wasn't all about personal profits and wealth.
Yeah, I see why 1cat had to lie, the truth wasn't useful.

Re: The Religion Thread
The cat pan is famous for taking something, anything, or everything out of context and bleating it out as something completely different from its original meaning. This tactic is very handy in justifying self righteous hypocritical behavior, especially with regard to religion. It also serves to provide false confidence in one's political choices while at the same time serving as some sort of pseudo affirmation to the simple minded that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

To be fair, 1 FAT CAN is too lazy and slow to look something up and then distort its context. Instead, s/he is so gullible and is such a lousy investigator that when s/he reads something that some other right-wing liar has spewed, 1 FAT CAN regurgitates it without question.
Anyhow, PINO has done exactly the opposite through his slashing of preparation, indecisive slowness to take action, incompetence and lies. This crisis is lost to him, at the cost of thousands or tens of thousands of American lives. 1 FAT CAN doesn't care, that's how much s/he worships 45SHOLE and hates America.

Yeah, he's still on his thing about how Democrats tried to deny help for workers even after you and I both explained to him that what the Democrats did was force the GOP to account for how the corporate handouts will be handed out. So he's evidently swallowed whole whatever Fox or other nutjob outlet has said and dutifully parrots it as if it were actually true. Lazy and stupid have always made a fine pair.Vrede too wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 7:53 amTo be fair, 1 FAT CAN is too lazy and slow to look something up and then distort its context. Re: The Religion Thread
What? Were you on the detail assigned to rent $45,000 worth of golf carts for the next trump lunacy act? Or are you on special security detail at the local Wal Mart to ensure folks stay six feet apart? Or are you assigned to one of those thousands of drive up testing centers at Walgreens and CVS that trump lied about (because they don't exist) a couple of weeks ago? I realize all this stuff is terribly dangerous, but I also realize that true public servants NEVER bleat, squawk, quack, or brag that they're "risking our lives" to serve. Alleged public servants that would do such a thing as brag about their service are the same type of "religious" people who brag about how religious they are and how deficient everyone else is. But that's how those alleged self proud drunk public service workers and religious hypocrites roll. You have a nice day, now.1 CAT FAN wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:22 amYou sound like a child having having a temper tantrum unhappy with birthday presents.

Who said anything about bragging? Nothing has changed because of some virus, public servants have been putting on the uniform way before that.

Re: The Religion Thread
Who said anything about bragging? Uh, let's see......why, that would be YOU. You bragged about being out doing public service work and concurrently implied that those of us who were not out doing that were "non essential" persons. Are you really that fucking stupid that you actually don't realize how you come across to people who are not as gullible and simple minded as you? You know what I'm gonna brag about? I'm gonna brag that I am nowhere near as goddamn fucking stupid as you are. Actually, that's not bragging. Most junior high kids could say the same when they compare themselves to you. They, and most of us, know that you're not really essential or even close to it. You have a nice day.
