All candidates stretch the truth, that's just the way it works. I think they've discovered that
a good line or argument works and that the fact check that comes a day or so after is less
important, unless it's a real whopper. It's pretty obvious how the debates went in the realm
of opinion polls. Romney won the first debate by a large margin, Obama won the last two by
a smaller margin. How that will all turn out is, right now, an unknown. Wow all the neighbors
are voting for Romney. Yes, that's a scientific poll. In 2008, there were about three or four
McCain/Palin signs in my small neighborhood. No Romney/Ryan signs this year. Maybe people
don't want to be burned again.

2. Obama accused Romney of lying when Romney said “you and I agreed” that some US troops should be left in Iraq. Obama failed to negotiate keeping 3,000 to 4,000 support troops there; Romney said he would have left 10,000 to 30,000.

3. Obama said military unemployment is lower than for the general population. Not true of veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.

4. Obama claimed the record would back him up when he accused Romney of opposing any federal “help” or “assistance” for troubled automakers. In fact, the record shows Romney supported federal loan guarantees.

5. Obama wrongly claimed Romney called Russia the “biggest geopolitical threat facing America.” Actually, Romney called Russia a “foe” and not a “threat.” He said “the greatest threat that the world faces is a nuclear Iran.”

What now have I done to offend your sensibilities? Try responding on topic to something. If you think being anti-abortion isn't a litmus test for endorsement of the right, say so. If you disagree with Goozle that Presidents don't have much effect on abortion law, enlighten us. If you think Vrede is wrong that states can nip and tuck on abortion rights while skirting Roe v. That is what many of the liberals here do, if something doesn't make them look good or make their point they change what you said then go off on what they wrote. I have never seen anyone do that but them, says a lot about them though!
Vrede and Stinger did it all the time on the other forum. The more you ignore them the worse they get, they need the attention. There was a liberal poster who did it to one of my post earlier today. How low does your self esteem have to be to change what others say so you can look good to your other liberal friends. Kind of sad actually.
