This week will be the first one of the year, and since it was involuntarily lamed last year, it should be pretty big. Cars are already out cruising along the beach boulevard and hanging out in parks. Totally cool.

I've been thinking about dragging some heavy steel chains from the back of my car to make sparks. The reason I've not done so isn't because it's illegal; I just don't drive at night, and besides, as the driver I would not be able to appreciate the noise and sparks action back there. And I sort of imagine myself a hero by chain tripping a robber running from a store as I approach him from behind at good speed and make a sudden sharp turn and stop maneuver that makes the chains come whipping around and tripping the poor bastard. Front page stuff.

Florida has laws against window tints past a certain percent, but you wouldn't know it by driving around.

Pretext laws are fun. We also have a law against noise that was enforced until motorcycles became big with the military class.
