CPF boycotting Heineken and Sam Adams

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Hmm... When my boy comes over the hill for the weekend I always get him a half rack of Heineken. So now I will look for something new for him. Sam Adams is out also!

Solar:
Give Lowenbrau a shot, assuming they haven't gone down the fag road as well.
Those are some lovely people over there.

Just trying to look at the Boston parade controversy from all angles -

It's possible the parade organizers are trying to save themselves from some trouble down the line. I doubt they're banning gay pride floats because they hate gays (sure maybe some organizers hate gays, that's not out of the realm of possibility). No one is preventing LGBT people from participating anymore than they're preventing blacks, hispanics, whites, etc, but they may be banning anything they deem as trying to make a political statement of sorts. Yeah, I get it, being gay is not a political statement. I believe you're born that way and you can't change that fact. But if they allow a gay pride float, then they'll have to allow a heterosexual pride float that's inevitably going to come about with the sole purpose of countering the gay float. They're probably trying to avoid controversy so they can just have a damn parade. Honestly I don't care either way because parades are lame. I'm just saying this is probably the thought process.

This is like those HOAs that ban any types of flags probably to prevent people from hanging hateful things. Then some war veteran hangs an American flag, is told to take it down because its against the rules, everyone gets pissed that a war vet is being told to take down the flag, but if the HOA caves, then everyone should be able to hang whatever they want including KKK flags etc...

I think you're probably right. They just want a fun parade without getting embroiled in political controversy. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed, leaving them with no choice but to face inevitable conflict no matter their choice. And still, knowing they are facing a "have you stopped beating your wife" question, they keep making the wrong choice - one that assures continuation of the controversy.

They'll have to add Guinness to their boycott list too, it looks like... http://www.cbsnews.com/news/guinness-dr ... ay-parade/

Of course, it's not like those loons actually drink Guinness, Sam, or Heinie. I'm guessing probably more like a Bud Lite or some other swill crowd over there.

Personally, I recommend a couple of amyl nitrate caps and after an hour or so, maybe a cup of coffee to sort of calm down. My guess is those CPF'ers are more into sedatives like heroin and oxycontin; they should be harassed by the cops as a potential menace.
