My favorite holiday, family, friends and a most excellent meal. doesnt get any better!!!!! My family's is rotten, they have to have turkey and ham. and never forget the sweet potatoe souffle! half with marshmellows and half without.

Oh, I love the souffle but i put a little bit of crushed pineapple in the spuds and then add the marshmellows. My sons love Pumpkin Pie better than anything else sweet. I've also got to have giblet gravy with their bird or i'll catch it 'til next year.

It is funny how holidays work. My grandfather died on Thanksgiving day twenty five years later my daughter was born on Thanksgiving day. It's a big day in our family. It is like adult Christmas where we focus on our blessings and the brevity of life.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!
The best day of the year, setting up the tables, the hustle and the smells coming from the kitchen. The kids running wild, everyone talking at the same time. Stories and tales of years past. The memories of those no longer with us. Alot of laugher, some tears, lefts overs even for those that insist they couldnt eat another bite. Turkey sandwiches the next day. Wow, come on Thanksgiving, we all need to feel some love.
