A Challenge to Bannination

I've not denied that what I did wasn't sleazy. What you fail to recognize is the fact that I made no threats, I said nothing like "I know who you are", I said nothing publicly about my discovery, nor have I divulged what I found to any of Vrede's adversaries. I merely found a means to stop the vulgarity being directed at my wife. Making silly, suggestive comments in jest is one thing; complete vulgarizing is unacceptable...regardless who it's directed at. I've noticed that no one has even had enough 'nads to agree with that.

Now, Banni, I'm posing a challenge to you, and whoever else wishes to add their 2¢ worth. I've made statements that you and the others know without a doubt, are fact. I've posted below the last remarks I made:

As Vrede would lovingly say, "Run away Banni, run away". You've dodged this several times; only commenting sarcastically on what I said about the membership. My challenge? I challenge you to honestly address my charges. Seems I recall once some time ago where you stated that just because you were an atheist, that didn't mean you were dishonest or unfair. OK...be fair to all of us and take the challenge.

It's the most heavily censored forum around, disagree with the party line and you are out. The fact that you are still here and posting your dribble is testimonial to Banni's integrity.

Like I said...he doesn't put up with from either side of an opinion.

So there should be no problem in questioning that integrity, huh? He should be able to back up that integrity by explaining why one would be allowed to run rough-shod over the others to the point of their leaving the forums. I'm not really surprised that Homerfobe wasn't banned for his foul "dribble", but his posts are aimed mostly at Vrede, and not anyone who differed in just any subject. Vrede gets off on that hateful crap-slinging back and forth, so it was right up his alley.

So what "facts" did I leave out? Where did I lie..."as usual"? What did I "make up"?

This is not about whether Vrede leaves or not; it's not about whether I leave or not. (in fact I had planned my departure about 6 months after I joined, just in case that I ever said or did anything that was so controversial it would jump up and bite me in the ass) What this is about, is that the subject matter of this thread has been the object of complaints ever since the inception of this forum. When complaints about Vrede's actions to Banni went unanswered, members of both "sides" began to stop posting. As I pointed out, there are 80+ members on the roll... less than 10 at the most are still active. So where's the lie in that? How did I make that up?

All I'm seeking is an honest explanation as to why the situation at hand finally came to a head, and the remaining members should be afforded the same courtesy......That's not too much to ask.

First of all CPF started in 2010 after Solar got his pasty white ass booted from some other forum for being too extreme, some two years before BRD. He's some weird ass hermit/hoarder/survivalist in the northern mountains of California.
Secondly, you are the one that repeatedly brought it up.

Who cares about the member numbers, I think BRN had something like 8,000 members with maybe 25 active. I hadn't posted here for about 6 months or so until this week. People come and go, there's no trend to identity.

We are all here at Banni's good graces, he offered to show Colonel Dumb-ass the control functions/logs of this board. Use your new account to PM him and he'd probably show you the same courtesy.

Also, what part of he owes you nothing do you not comprehend?

Here's the way I see it.

I don't care if this forum is "successful" (By what measure?) or unsuccessful (in fact, unsuccessful means I can save a few bucks!). The only thing I cared or care about was getting away from the rampant censorship that BRNews was, and CPF is. By that measure it's been a pretty good success.
If I had started censoring those that "lash, bash, and belittle", (AN INTERNET IDENTITY MIND YOU), then by all measures to me, it would be a complete failure. I know this surprises no one, but if you don't like someone's (INTERNET IDENTITY), then you can put them on ignore. WOW, you just did you own ban on anyone that "lashes, bashes, or belittles you"! Amazing! You don't have to rely on the forum administration to do censorship, you can do it yourself!!!!! I know, crazy right??

In my opinion, those that left did so because they couldn't hold their own in a debate, and didn't have a forum ninny on their side that would takes side and censor that position (FOR EVERYONE). Other people that left were trying to out identities of other posters, I personally do not miss them. That's a slimey thing to do. Partisan62 can no longer post here because of it.

Vrede was a target because he was simply the quickest and wittiest one to respond. If it wasn't Vrede, it would have been someone else, one of us that still responds but are much slower at being able to.

Solar doesn't ban and censor B.S.... Solar bans and censor's anything that is not of his opinion. You'll notice when posters aren't sure if it's acceptable to solar they'll say it in form of a question to avoid banning and censorship. It's sad.

Now, things that support my opinion are things like Colonel Taylor was saying, "people left because of disappearing PM's", etc. None of this stuff was ever brought up before they left simply because that is not the reason they left or even true. (By true, someone on the forum other than the poster or recipient deleting them.) Posting of IP addresses? Well, as I recall we talked about it and decided we wouldn't do that anymore in spite of the fact that an IP address is not a personal identifier in order to put people at ease. So the things they did talk about were addressed. (Imagine that.)

Now, here's the real kicker. Vrede can't exactly talk about politics anymore thanks to you, so he's pretty much neutered. You think the people that left are coming back to have real discussion?

Fat chance, IMHO.

Oh, and as GoCubsGo points out, CPF started a long time before BRD.

I repeatedly stated that I care not who Vrede works for, (I already knew anyway long before I knew his identity) nor did I ever intend to out him to his employer. I'm crazy, not stupid. If he's so ashamed of and afraid of how he's belittled others, politically and locally, that's his problem and he'll have to live with it.
