She likely did work in the health field but never more trained than an LPN maybe less. She worked long and always felt she was smarter doctors and real nurses. She always has felt if she had the chance she could have out doctored almost any doctor. She might even be Hispanic if so not Mexico. Vrede and Stinger are close.

Stinger may even be her granddaughter. She is much smarter than Vrede and more educated. She is likely still a student but not at the school of her choice. She loves and admires Vrede and is quick to support her. She will suppress any feelings she may have to post anything contrary to Vrede but smart enough to seek out Vrede’s line of thought. She can do this without challenging her. She is more computer knowledgeable and has taught Vrede about twitter.

It is likely that Vrede is the reason Stinger has always been a good student. Vrede lives vicariously through Stinger. Stinger is aware of this. She loves Vrede but also knows she is ignorant. So it is Stinger’s ideas that Vrede post if she posts anything other than name-calling. When she can she gives Vrede the links etc. But, most often she does not have the time or patients to get Vrede up to speed so she just defends her. She does so in a very creative fashion.

Stinger likely gets some of her drive and determination from Vrede but none of her intellect. Stinger’s intellect and talent comes from another blood line. Vrede could have never been what she pretends to be. She likely could have been little more than she is even if given the opportunities of royalty.

We all, regardless of political ideology, should feel sorry for Vrede and understand she cannot help being so little and pretending she is so much.

Stinger, on the other hand, will be successful. That is if she knows she can find her own ideology. Else regardless of intellect, talent, and effort she will end up like Vrede.

army recruiters offered choice of duty stations (you got 3 choices) if you joined. of course you could pick nam and many did. many, like turdius, did not

joining the army for 3 years to avoid the draft and nam for 2 years was quite common

Without giving details, care to comment as to whether any of Tertius' suppositions re my profession are accurate? If so, I appreciate it. I am not a psychiatrist, and don't try armchair psychoanalytics, but do have an undergraduate minor in psychology, as well as the required rotation in psychiatry in medical school (which was my least favorite). Without revealing aspects of Vrede's life that were told to me in confidence, i will say that he is probably in his early 50's not 60's and is probably single. I think he mentioned he had a sister who is an attorney, so we know he is not an only child. He was a goalie on a soccer team at some point in his life, and injured his shoulder, but I don't think he has long term complications from it. He is in the health care field, and I would guess it is above the LPN level. He is extremely bright, well-spoken, and compassionate. He has traveled the world, and has participated in many activist movements. One could call him a professional protestor for what he believes is right. I think he respects the physicians he works with and is a team player. I would guess that he works rotating shifts which make it appear that he is on the internet 24/7. I recall on some posts from a prior forum that he had a family member that was quite ill and chose to be thier caregiver until they died, rather than placing in a nursing home. This speaks volumes about what kind of character Vrede has. We may disagree on a wide variety of issues, but he is an interesting guy that I wouldn't mind meeting someday.
