The Future of War, and How It Affects YOU (Multi-Domain Operations)

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

The Future of War, and How It Affects YOU (Multi-Domain Operations)

This is a long one, but very interesting implications and discussions about what I feel has been happening since before the last election.

Watching that made me think of the old Star Trek episode where there was a war on this planet visited by Kirk, Spock, and the others. But the war was being "run" by computers and if the computer scored a "hit" then a certain number of people would have to go into this machine that would, in effect, kill them and make them a casualty of war. Sort of like war on the honor system; no physical destruction of buildings but voluntary sacrifice as proscribed by the computer. I suppose this is one logical evolution in the concept of war.......I mean, I would probably rather just walk into a machine and die rather than face about thirty primitive folks with spears and rock bludgeons. A philosophical dichotomy: go down without a fight in the virtual war or rely on base human emotion and instinct for a chance to survive. I guess I'll spin.......

 Damn, is that who those people were? Nah, actually I have never been in Alabama. I will admit to attending a Navy school in Mississippi, though. It was damn hot and it's the place where a horse tried to kill me by scraping and banging me against trees and breaking into a respectable gallop at random times. Luckily, I and my companions were all hot, in the alcoholic sense, at the time. War on horses must have been a hell of a thing. Whoa dammit!

Will happy thoughts save the world?

or will the idiot general's version of yeah American patriotism, we are better than everyone else, destroy it first,

Sure, thing mr general guy, other countries don't have our sense of patriotism, so easy peezy, our multi domain warfare will defeat all-comers just as easy as putin in the Ukraine.

Maybe the general missed our very own US Senator from Kentucky telling the President that he would turn the American people against anyone who alerted us to the Russians interfering with the election,

or could be that he missed Iran’s population being almost totally fed up with their religious crazy rulers right up until lil bush acted like he wanted to invade them too,

or he may too have missed 50 years of idiocy in Cuba.

What about all those Multi Domain Operations we ran in Viet Nam rather than helping a mostly democratic US loving Ho establish freedom from the country’s Colonial oppressors? The good generals with help from morons Truman and Ike believed this same crap and abandoned the people who had been our allies against the Japanese, choosing to believe instead that good ol American patriotism puts us above all-comers.

or maybe he was too busy studying war to bother with college classes about human nature.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

Can't make it on your own?

Then, show your multiplatform patriotism and join the best scam out there.
