Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Former governor Charlie Crist (R-FL) and former GOP chairman Jim Greer (R-FL), as well as several current GOP members, told the Post that Republican consultants pushed the new measures as a way to suppress Democratic voters. Crist expanded early voting hours in 2008 despite party pressure, but Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) targeted early voting almost immediately when he took office in 2011. Scott’s administration claimed the new laws were meant to curb in-person voter fraud, despite the fact that an individual in Florida is more likely to be struck by lightning than commit voter fraud.

Current party members and consultants confirmed the motive was not to stop voter fraud but to make it harder for Democrats and minorities to vote:

Lets see sure are glad you picked a non biased source aren't you.
ThinkProgress was voted “Best Liberal Blog” in the 2006 and they sure the heck haven't turned conservative since.
Judd Legum is Editor-in-Chief of ThinkProgress. Previously, Judd was the Research Director for the Hillary Clinton for President campaign. He also worked at American Progress from 2003 to 2007, when he founded and edited ThinkProgress
Sour grapes much. Wow and the libs call the cons wingnuts!
Greer served as Florida's GOP chairman from 2006 until 2010 when he was forced to resign after allegedly stealing money from the party. He was arrested and his case is pending.

ThinkProgress source is:

Palm Beach Post Capital Bureau

A new Florida law that contributed to long voter lines and caused some to abandon voting altogether was intentionally designed by Florida GOP staff and consultants to inhibit Democratic voters, former GOP officials and current GOP consultants have told The Palm Beach Post.

Maybe the detective doesn't think they're really Republicans. After all, he hasn't been right yet.

Very perceptive and logical, Colonel. So if this guy had blown the whistle before they accused him of stealing, then you'd think maybe the Party would have an ax to grind and might find their accusations suspect, as you find his? Right? Opps.

Greer is clearly a sleazebag - he was, after all, former Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. To think he's got an honest bone in his body would be ridiculous. But just because somebody gets paid to lie and does it well doesn't mean that absolutely everything he says is a lie - particularly when he falls out of bed with the dogs with whom he shared fleas. Here's more to the tale...
