PM's

Tried to send a couple of PM's. Showing as sent, but still in the outbox.

They stay in the "Outbox" until they are read by the intended recipient, as was the case on BRN. If one's PM moves to "Sent messages" but doesn't get a reply, it's a blow off.

Or, perhaps, the recipient is still digesting the words for an eventual response?

Not all PM's require a response by the recipient.
It is already acknowledged such has been read once the PM leaves the outbox so the recipient at least took the time to look at it.

I never wait with great anticipation for a response but it is nice to get one.

I don't mind all the PMs you haven't replied to, really.
