Not sure who "Colonel Rebel Brown Bear Land Sharks" is - Mississippi vs @(2)Alabama? Good luck, the spread is 37.5. 13 out of 19 picked Alabama, tied for my 2nd biggest oddball pick of the day with Mississippi St +10.5 @(7)Auburn....

@(17)Washington -10 (21)USC, knock it back out of the rankings.
Yes, by 4 points  . Congrats, O Reallys.
@(10)Notre Dame -12.5 (18)Virginia (4-0). Not sure about this one, an unbeaten Virginia trouncing Clemson in the ACC championship would be a beautiful thing. I may let the final Vegas swing, no matter how small, decide for me. Opinions?
Again, I posted (since deleted) that I'd switched based on Vegas, again I forgot to actually make the switch - 3 weeks in a row now
- again it worked out. Notre Dame beat the spread by 2.5  .
Auburn beating the 10.5-point spread means that the best I can do is tie for 1st.billy.pilgrim wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2019 7:38 pmWe are about to kick off

6 minutes into the game
I think we have had 6, maybe 7 offensive plays
2 scoring drives 2 plays or less
21 to zero
And you went with State

This may be the only voter who believes that a team that gets a lucky win over an unranked team, that had just been beat by another unranked team, doesn't belong in the top 5.
Full disclosure: I've since revised my opinion. Clemson should be #10, last of the top ten undefeateds or even somewhere below undefeated #12 Penn State and undefeated #14 Iowa.

Hmmm, I like Oregon (3-1) a bit more and support whichever team is doing better. However, dropping Cal (4-1) all the way from #15 to unranked after it lost a close game to now #20 AZ St (4-1) seems extreme, as does the 17.5 point spread. Cal only lost to (15)Washington by a point, and Oregon only beat weak Stanford (2-3) by 15 on 9/21. Your thoughts?
(16)Boise St (4-0) -23.5 @UNLV. Playoffs baby!
Funny you ask. I was just thinking that I almost never have the pretension that I know more than Vegas, except that I sometimes question when a team will stop running up the score in a blowout. I'm often wrong, like Auburn vs Kent St ;) , sometimes correct like UCF vs CT. So, I bet on what I want to see happen. If I switch to Cal +17.5, it'll be a very rare exception to my norm.billy.pilgrim wrote: Wed Oct 02, 2019 11:18 amI've only seen one game by any one of the referenced teams. Too much to watch.

#7 Auburn (5-0) is favored by 3 vs #10 Florida (5-0). That's saying that Auburn is the better team by 6 if we account for the traditional 3-point home field advantage Florida has. I have no reason to dispute that and I'm taking Florida plus the 3 just because.
