What, don't you think the UCFers should throw another championship parade?

No, I don't believe in jinxes. Besides, I'm wearing my lucky team shirt and socks and even dug out my all occasion super lucky tighty whities.

So, no way we lose and if we do, there's always revenge 7 years from now.

Undefeated (14)Iowa +3.5 @(19)Michigan. Playoffs baby.
10-3 Michigan, game sucked. I don't think either team wins the Big 10, let alone makes the Playoffs. Only 7 out of 19 got it correct.
Yahoo: @(8)Wisconsin -36.5 Kent St
Vegas: -35
I switched to Kent St. They should just drop games where the spread is more than 30. We're not assessing relative strength anymore, but rather when the favorite will stop being an asshole.
48-0, assholes. 15 got it correct, my biggest oddball pick of the weekend.
@Texas Tech +10 (21)Oklahoma St. Knock it out of the rankings.
45-35 Texas Tech. Sweet, buh-bye. 10 of us got it correct.
Picking @Kansas +35.5 (6)Oklahoma was a big win for me, OU 45, KU 20. 13 got it wrong.

I'm 3-3 tied for 5th, just 1 point out of the lead.

Crap! West Virginia scored a meaningless spread-tying TD with 0:48 left. Push.
Undefeated @(10)Florida +3 undefeated (7)Auburn. Big test for both, winner could jump into playoff position, best game of the weekend.
(7)Auburn -3 @(10)Florida.

Bowling Green +45.5 @(9)Notre Dame.

Assholes, 52-0.
I'm 3-5-2, tied for 7th, 2 points out of the lead, and the best I can do with 5 games left is a 6-way tie for 1st, $15.83  .

Nice, by 4.5.
@(13)Oregon -17.5 California.
Hmmm, I like Oregon (3-1) a bit more and support whichever team is doing better. However, dropping Cal (4-1) all the way from #15 to unranked after it lost a close game to now #20 AZ St (4-1) seems extreme, as does the 17.5 point spread. Cal only lost to (15)Washington by a point, and Oregon only beat weak Stanford (2-3) by 15 on 9/21. Your thoughts? I decided to let the Vegas wiggle decide for me. Vegas now says Oregon -18, so I'm sticking with Oregon.
Oregon won, whew, but not close to by the spread :( . My initial doubts were correct.

Yeah, but 'Fuck a Duck' rhymes.

I hope your Huskies get it together in the 2nd half. Trips to Stanford have been the death of their Playoff hopes for years. UW hasn't won there since 2007, 0-5.

Thanks for the memory, past wins over Florida is all I have today. Emmitt ran for over a hundred yards in every game he played except for 3.
He played Auburn 3 times and was shut down every time. At one game the crowd was chanting, give it to emmitt and Emmitt was on the sidelines crying.

Smith missed the '88 game with an injury. In 1989, Smith, the country's leading rusher entering the game, was held to 86 yards but the Gators had a late 7-3 lead until Tigers quarterbck Reggie Slack hit wide receiver Shane Wasden in the right corner of the end zone on 4th-and-11 with less than a minute remaining....

While at Florida as a true freshman in 2007, Newton was the top backup at quarterback to Tebow. Hew threw 10 passes that season (completing five) and rushed for 104 yards. The following season, a win over the Tigers all but gave Spurrier the Heisman Trophy. Auburn entered the game in Gainesville just 3-3 but was locked in a 27-all tie late in the game. With 2:12 left and facing fourth down, Spurrier -- Florida's seldom-used long-range kicker -- stayed on the field and booted a 40-yard kick to win it. He threw for 259 yards and one touchdown that day. Spurrier later went 10-3 as Gators coach against the Tigers, but all three losses were devastating as Florida was ranked No. 1 in two of those games.

AP Rankings

1 Alabama (5-0)
2 Clemson (5-0) Bullshit.
3 Ohio State (6-0) Up from #4.
3 Georgia (5-0)
5 LSU (5-0)
6 Oklahoma (5-0)
7 Florida (6-0) Up from #10. Fuck Don Jr.
8 Wisconsin (5-0) Go Badgers, all the way!
9 Notre Dame (4-1) Okay.
10 Penn State (5-0) Yuck.
11 Texas (4-1) Okay.
12 Auburn (5-1) Down from #7.
13 Oregon (4-1) Hang in there, hope for huge stumbles.
14 Boise State (5-0) Playoffs baby :P .
15 Utah (4-1)
16 Michigan (4-1) Was #19. Would have been a bigger bump after beating #14 Iowa, but Michigan sucked, too.
17 Iowa (4-1)
18 Arizona State (4-1)
19 Wake Forest (5-0) Gonna destroy Clemson.
20 Virginia (4-1)
21 SMU (6-0)
22 Baylor (5-0)
23 Memphis (5-0)
24 Texas A&M (3-2) Clemson's lame "quality" win.
25 Cincinnati (4-1)

Appalachian State (4-0) is #28!
Former #15 Washington (4-2) all the way down to #29, ouch.

Go:

(20)Virginia +1 @Miami (FL), Fri 10/11 08:00 PM. Really, 2-3 Miami is favored over 4-1 Virginia?
@Temple +3.5 (23)Memphis.
@(11)Texas +9.5 (6)Oklahoma. Big game. Replace it in the top 10.
Florida St +26 @(2)Clemson. I never root for Florida St.
@(8)Wisconsin -10 Michigan St. That spread is too small even if I wasn't a Spartan-hating Badger fan.
Washington St +3 @(18)Arizona St. Not sure about this one. Thoughts?
@(24)Texas A&M +17.5 (1)Alabama.
Texas Tech +10 @(22)Baylor. Knock it out of the rankings.
Louisville +6.5 @(19)Wake Forest. It will be even sweeter if both teams are unranked when they crush Clemson.
@(17)Iowa +3 (10)Penn St. Big game. Knock it out of the top 10. Won't happen if the same Hawkeyes that played Michigan last week show up.
@(5)LSU -13 (7)Florida. 3rd big game. Don Jr sucks.
@(14)Boise St -13 Hawaii. The Playoffs are Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Warriors).

4 games between ranked teams, 6 games with single digit spreads - that's better.

Get to know a five-star: Myles Murphy

He was as they say around those Clemson parts, "all in."

“The culture,” Myles said. “The vibe when I’m on campus, it’s just a happy feeling. I feel at home. The coaching staff has been there for a while and they’re accustomed to everything there. They have families there.”

Murphy’s parents loved it too.

“The process they go through recruiting your kid,” Willard said. “All the coaches we met were great but it seems with Clemson they are thorough. When we talked to the players, we got the same feedback from all the players. It wasn’t like the coaches were saying something and the players something else, we got the same thing every time. They had his major architectural engineering. Talking to some of the other players we always seemed to get the same vibe and at Clemson they seemed to really want to focus on after college. There is a couple things they do that other colleges don’t.”

247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons projects Murphy as a future Top10 pick in the NFL Draft and compares his game to a former All-Pro in Robert Quinn. That level is part of Murphy’s plan but first he wants to go out strong at Hillgrove before shining at Clemson as part of what looks to be a hellacious defensive line haul Swinney and his staff have put together. Murphy along with fellow five-star Bryan Bresee and Demonte Capehart and Tre Williams are the backbone of a Tigers class that ranks No. 1 nationally.
