Danny Kanell tweeted a message to Florida State fans suggesting they shouldn’t be upset with the game…because Clemson did the same thing to Alabama.

Texas A&M (-6) at Ole Miss
Neither ranked - Texas A&M (3-3) got 3 whole votes - so not part of our pool. Go Ole Miss (3-4), make Clemson look even worse.

3 games between ranked teams, just 4 single digit spreads.
Were Offline on Monday, go:

(9)Florida -5.5 @South Carolina. Tough one for me. Thoughts?
(14)Boise St (6-0) -6.5 @BYU. Easy pick, BYU is only 2-4.

Now 6 single digit spreads, better.

This past summer, during the talking season, the question was asked, “What possibly could Dabo Swinney use to motivate his football team this year?”

Clemson is the defending national champions. It’s coming off a 28-point win over Alabama in the national championship game and it returned eight starters from an offense that scored 37 points on Nick Saban’s proudful defense.

Skalski is under the impression the national media does not like Clemson because they keep winning and they keep beating powerhouse teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Notre Dame in the process.

“I don’t think anyone wants to see Little Ole Clemson dominating like we have,” Skalski said. “We just have to keep doing us and just keep believing and working, and everything will play out like it should.”

Having again gotten no help from y'all ;) , I'm going with the half point Vegas wiggle in favor of GA-killer South Carolina. So:
@South Carolina +6 (9)Florida.

@Arkansas +19 (11)Auburn.
Half point Vegas wiggle in favor of Auburn. Since Auburn will win, anyhow:
(11)Auburn -19 @Arkansas.

@Louisville +23 +24 (3)Clemson.
(12)Oregon -2.5 @(25)Washington.

UNC's Mack Brown says critiques of Clemson are 'weird'

"It's amazing looking at Dabo, at Texas we were winning a lot like he was. When you get there, fans and the media are not fair. The expectation is that they blow everyone out," Brown mused at his press conference Monday. "You go back to a couple years ago and they barely beat Syracuse...and they go and win the national championship. We think they hung in there and there was a comeback. Now we're saying they stink. They don't stink. They've got the best players in the country and probably the best team in the country."

Brown wonders why his team doesn't get more credit for keeping it close than Clemson is criticized for the effort.

"The fact that we played them good, everybody's mad at them instead of being happy for us," Brown said. "It's weird how people look at it. The key is to win. You're not going to blow everyone out every week."

"The expectations on Trevor Lawrence -- all those people criticizing him would darn sure take him," Brown said. "I can tell you that. If he went out right now, he would be a No. 1 draft pick. We can say what we want but that ole boy is really good. I stood out there and watched him pregame at 6-6, and what, 230 or whatever he is and runs 4.4 or 4.5 and has never lost a game in his life and we're sitting here criticizing him. Oh my gosh."

Go Heels
Nice sentiment, but I warn you, they'll break your heart. Because that's what they do.
So close (21-20). :angry-banghead:

If Clemson stays #1 it's BS. It should drop below all undefeated top 10 teams.
Shoulda gone for the tie.
I supported going for 2. An analyst said, paraphrased: "More time gives the Clemson talent advantage more time to shine."

I hope your heart ain't broken, O Really, that was amazing.

The analyst apparently didn't understand how overtime works in college ball, nor that the 'Heels had already kept the "Clemson talent advantage" at bay for four quarters. So they go to overtime - what's the worst that could happen? UNC gets the ball, doesn't score; Clemson gets the ball, scores and the game's over. UNC loses by 6 in OT. How is that worse than losing by one on a failed 2-point try?

Huh?

The theory is that a longer game = less "at bay", idk.

It's worse than winning by one on a successful 2-point try.

Just because the UNC basketball team can come back from 8 down with 17 seconds against Dook doesn't mean the football team can't pull defeat from the jaws of victory.
