34.5 points? Terrible. It will be bad; perhaps the worst in modern history. I am braced for impact. :eh:
Good, keep bracing ;) 8-) .
HALF, TENN 10 - ALA 21

Moral victory, turn off the TV now.
I told you to quit watching. Worst end zone dive attempt in the history of end zone dive attempts. 28-13, TN just 1 foot away from making it a 1-score game, 4th down, 7:21 left.

Jarrett Guarantano rushed up the middle, "fumbled" it forward into the end zone. "Trevon Diggs recovered fumble and returned for 100 yard touchdown" - I'm not sure the ball ever hit the ground. Does that make it an INT on a running play? Maybe there has to be a throwing motion.

Sometimes things work out just swimmingly.

The blue field goes down and the whining former blue field coach not only goes down but gets called out for trying to hide a purple suited player in the purple end zone.

I finished 7-12 and have dropped to a tie for a mediocre 8th out of 19 in the season tally, 8 out of the lead. This week's winners are 13-6.

I vaguely remember your reference from some prior game. Was it called a penalty or is it just that people whined about it afterwards?

Anyhow, dammit, I already have my reservations for Jan. 13 in New Orleans. I was counting on BSU vs WI. Oh well, at least App St will be in it  , maybe vs LSU or MN. Go Mountaineers!

AP Rankings

1 Alabama (7-0)
2 LSU (7-0)
3 Ohio State (7-0) Up from #4.
4 Clemson (7-0) Down from #3. Beating unranked 4-3 teams should NOT be a ticket to the playoffs. Vs Boston College (4-3), yawn.
5 Oklahoma (7-0) Ugh.
6 Penn State (7-0) Double ugh.
7 Florida (7-1) Meh.
8 Notre Dame (5-1) Okay. Big game @ #19 Michigan. Go . . . idk.

11 Oregon (6-1) Up from #12, I'm still dreamin'.

Of course, being heavily favored isn't the same as getting the job done. Wisconsin found that out the hard way Saturday, allowing Illinois to score the game's final 10 points in a shocking 24-23 loss in Champaign. James McCourt hit a 39-yard field goal as time expired to give the Illini their first Big Ten win of the season.

BYU was not quite a 30-point dog against Boise State. Its 28-25 upset of No. 14 Boise State was not less surprising, though. The Cougars scored three touchdowns in the third quarter and held on late to take Boise out of the playoff spoiler role.

The loss sent Boise State shuffling backward eight spots to No. 22. Missouri, which lost to unranked Vanderbilt, was one of two teams to exit the Top 25. Washington's narrow loss to Oregon also sent the Huskies outside of the rankings.

Boise State definitely can identify with blue.
Washington similar to Maryland.... misery loves company.

Go:

(20)Iowa -9.5 @Northwestern.
(13)Wisconsin +14 @(3)Ohio St. Big game for both.
(21)Appalachian St -25.5 @South Alabama. Jan. 13 in New Orleans :D .
@(23)Iowa St -8.5 Oklahoma St.
@Michigan St +5.5 (6)Penn St. Ugh, dislike them both and the spread seems too small, but I really want PSU out of the top 10. Thoughts?
@(17)Minnesota (7-0) -15 Maryland (3-4). Yeah, I'm a traitor. Go Gophers, Jan. 13 in New Orleans.
@(2)LSU -12 (9)Auburn. Ouch, big spread = no respect. This could end your playoff hopes. Could also move LSU to #1. Like Clemson, Bama has not played a ranked team.
(15)Texas -1.5 @TCU. Austin > god.
Arkansas +33 @(1)Alabama. Since Bama wins regardless, thoughts on the bet?
Boston Coll (4-3) +33.5 @(4)Clemson. Won't do a thing for the weak Clemson resume.
(8)Notre Dame +2.5 @(19)Michigan. Hmmm, higher rank = underdog. Very uncertain about this one. Help me out?
@UCLA +3 (24)Arizona St.
California +18 @(12)Utah. Homies vs Mormons.
@(11)Oregon -13.5 Washington St (4-3). Won't help the Ducks' resume much. Maybe some top tens will flop. LSU or Auburn is certain.

3 games between ranked teams, seems to be about the norm. 6 games with single digit spreads, cool could be worse.

Yep, this week we get to see if the Florida game was just an off week, or if we could be looking at 4 or more losses this season.

Louisville came up 52 points short this week
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney got a little sarcastic when asked if he was surprised the media continues to drop his team in the poll, despite the Tigers winning their last two games by 31 and 35 points respectively.

“Nothing surprises me,” Swinney said Sunday while chuckling during his weekly conference call with the local media.

Swinney pointed out the Tigers, who own the nation’s longest winning streak at 22 games, have won their first seven games by an average margin of 28.0 points, just about a half point below last year’s 28.7 margin of victory after seven games.

“That 0.7 is elusive, and we are chasing that,” he said sarcastically. “So, it is probably the greatest 0.7 out there, but we will keep working.”

LSU will be tough, but I think you'll beat GA, and Bama's a real question mark given that it's not played any good teams.

Yep
"I think somebody told me yesterday that we've won five games by 31 points or more and you look at Bama, who's No. 1, and they've won three, and two of them were vs. Group of 5," Scott said. "It's not really the rhetoric that we are seeing out there. I think it's just natural when you've won as many games as we've won, I mean I can remember as a college football fan that gets old at some point when somebody else is winning that much.

Possibly. Still, 2 are rivalry games and LSU might as well be.
