... Rep. Austin Scott, a Republican from Georgia, criticized his GOP colleagues for holding up the disaster bill, calling them "clowns" in a tweet.
... The measure ordinarily would have passed months ago, but Trump injected himself into the debate, demanding that funding sought by Puerto Rico's elected officials, Republicans and Democrats both, be kept out.
Democrats held firm in demanding that Puerto Rico, a territory whose 3 million people are U.S. citizens, be helped by the measure. Their confidence was clear from the outset, and GOP resolve on Puerto Rico, never particularly strong to begin with, steadily faded as the impasse dragged on. The bill now contains more money for Puerto Rico, about $1.4 billion, than Democrats originally sought....
Sounds like these House cons are stupid, cruel, and ultimately impotent.
Ah, shit, I guess this means trump will flush ten or fifteen times and then get out his flood Sharpie to generate a new flood map for gullible cultists and the terminally stupid. He may have to get Chris Christie out on emergency patrol; Chris displaces a considerable amount of water. I will tell you. Chris displaces water like no one's ever even heard of. Believe me.
... Local police told Norwegian news agency NTB that the landslide was between 650 meters and 800 meters (2,145-2,640 feet) wide and up to 40 meters (132 feet) high.
Police spokesman Torfinn Halvari said a car was swept away in the landslide, but no one was injured. A dog that ended up in the sea was able to swim back to land and is safe, he said....
Another article also said that the landslide was about 500 feet deep.

To bad that you can't see how blacks have been treated by leo scum.
I have not looked at the cat fan's "understanding" links only because if he labels them "understanding" I am suspicious that they are probably the opposite of that. But as for your last comment about him not seeing the root of the problem, there's an easy explanation; socialism. You see, socialist workers like the cat fan and his kind are extremely protective of their socialist slice of the pie and any slices of pie that are spent on youth development programs or on education programs or on anything that might improve the conditions of disadvantaged minority kids and adults is a threat to his slice of the socialist pie, which makes him, you guessed it, a victim once again. He enjoys being a victim so much that he wants others to be a victim, too. He will never realize that the folks he wants to be a victim have already been victims for far longer than he has, and their victimization has actually been real instead of imagined or invented or fed to him on a plate.

You're right, plus the billions of taxpayer dollars his industry would lose to more worthwhile uses likely has him on edge.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
