NC is working really hard for a BC win.
Almost. BC 2 pt attempt for the tie > UNC INT and 2 pts for the win. 2-0.
Damn, don't tell them they're 2-0. They'll think that's their quota for the year and won't show up for the other games.

They could have just started out with all the teams that wanted to play during a pandemic and run the season like a Hunger Games tournament.
And they may be doing just that.

Still, it's football. I won't watch as much, probably only Auburn games, but I'll watch....

Sorry about your Plain Damn Tigers Who Yell "War Eagle", but at least your love-to-hate team(2-0) posted a touchdown victory over the mighty (0-2) Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa.

:confusion-scratchheadblue: It's the end of the 3rd quarter and Mickey Mouse is only leading 26-25.

You're still in Oregon, aren't you? ;) 8-)

Opps.

Yeah, I just looked at a score listing. Thought it was a final. Measure of how much I care, I guess.
Currently 5:35 left and the Golden Hurricanes are up by 5.
billy.p can be happier, maybe.

You shouldn't tease billy.pilgrim like that. ;)

It's the end of the second longest win streak in the nation, perhaps just BCS. I assume that 1 FAT CAN's team was and is #1.

With losses by #7 Auburn, #9 TX and #11 UCF, #12 UNC has a good shot at its first top 10 since -0-? .

Speaking of streaks, Iowa State 37-30 > OK:
This was the first time that OK has lost 2 consecutive regular season games since 1999.
Even more impressive, the last time that Iowa State beat OK in Ames was 3 days before JFK was elected. It had gone 0-24 since.
SMU student section cleared out because of coronavirus protocol violations

Campus police cleared out the entire SMU student section during the first half of Saturday's football game against Memphis because a large majority in the crowd wasn't following coronavirus protocols such as wearing masks or social distancing, a school spokesman confirmed to ESPN.

SMU's stadium policy allows up to 1,000 students in its student section and on the lawn, and it requires face coverings when it's not possible to maintain 6 feet of separation between each person....

With its 30-27 win over No. 25 Memphis, SMU has now started 4-0 in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1983-84....
Ouch.

#8 for one glorious week in 2015 before remembering who they were. 1996-97 before that before Mack Brown went to Texas.

Not sure why we would even be in the top 25.

Correction:
Pac-12 football FAQ: Return date, schedule plans, hurdles and more
Sep 24, 2020

The Pac- 12 presidents and chancellors on Thursday voted to play a seven-game conference football schedule beginning on Nov. 6, and culminating with a conference championship game on Dec. 18 -- just in time to be included in the College Football Playoff discussion. With the Pac-12's decision, every Power 5 conference has now committed to playing this fall, and all of them will end their seasons before CFP Selection Day on Dec. 20, when the 13-member selection committee chooses the top four teams in the country.

While the ACC and Big 12 have already started, the SEC kicks off its season this weekend, and the Big Ten has announced it will start Oct. 24....
Shows how much attention I've been paying to college football.

Wonder if the sec will do anything to the a&m for selling way too tickets. Much of the lower seats look about right but the rest of the place is packed.

By rule no more than 25%, but we are in a age of trump.

Michael Carter looked awful good for UNC today. He's a Navarre kid.

Auburn looked great 1st half, sucked 2nd half, tried really hard to lose, but did finally win.

Go ole miss - now up 14 - 7 over bammer

UNC was 3-0 a couple or so times back in the '30's. I don't know how they managed it this year, especially wearing those Dook-like jerseys. Most years, the Carolina blue/white unis have been the highlight of the team.

Typical AP top 7.

1 Clemson
2 Alabama
3 Georgia
4 Notre Dame
6 Ohio State
7 Oklahoma State
and
5 North Carolina. Wait, what?

Also,
6 Ohio State
9 Penn State
12 Oregon
16 Wisconsin
19 Michigan
24 Minnesota
25 USC
are all 0-0.

#5? Seriously? WTF are they thinking. That's the highest ranking since 1948, when a #3 UNC team lost to Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. Next closest was #6 in 1997 and a Gator Bowl win, on Mack Brown's last tour with the team.

Funny to see Nick complaining that Ole Miss was reading their signs - something he has been caught doing. One coaches realized it in the first half. They knew our every play and soon were up 24 to 0. During halftime we changed all the signs and we won 28 to 27.
