Re: Wingnutties out of control!
It's an old canard, which conveniently ignores the societal repression of the poor in America by the wealthy of America. It doesn't matter that our overall standard of living is higher than, in, say, Bangladesh. Repression, discrimination, subjugation still exists in the good old USA, and perhaps more race and income based than in many other nations.
The main point is that it helps the wealthy ruling class in America feel better about how they treat those lower down on the socio-economic ladder. The song "America" in West Side Story made this very clear, but cucks like Rand Paul still don't get it, some 50 plus years later. Or, perhaps, they get it but just don't want to admit it.

Re: Wingnutties out of control!
Qidiots.QAnon circles are spreading a conspiracy theory about photos of Biden's White House staging area, claiming it's proof that he's a fake president
... QAnon influencer QAnon John posted the message on his Telegram channel, which has close to 70,000 followers.
"In case you needed ANY more proof, you are definitively WATCHING A MOVIE WITH A FAKE "PRESIDENT." Look NO further," he wrote. "I challenge you to find me ONE picture like this while Trump was at the White House…I'll wait."
... Furthermore, according to reporting from The Washington Examiner, Trump himself has used the same auditorium to give announcements.
Live by the wingnutty conspiracy theory, die by the wingnutty conspiracy theory:
Michael Flynn to QAnon Believers: I’m Not a Satanist!
... The Satanic panic sparked by Flynn’s prayer bears more than a passing similarity to the Flynn-endorsed QAnon movement, in which figures like Hillary Clinton, George Soros, and Barack Obama have been accused of being cannibalistic Satanists—or, in QAnon parlance, ”Luciferians.” It also recalls Pizzagate, the baseless conspiracy theory once endorsed by Flynn’s son, Michael Flynn Jr., which holds that a Washington pizzeria doubles as a Satanic sex dungeon for pedophiles....
Flynn isn’t the first right-wing figure tied to QAnon to see its acolytes turn on him. Oklahoma Senate candidate Jackson Lahmeyer, whose challenge to Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) has been endorsed by Flynn, appeared at an April pro-QAnon conference with Flynn in Tulsa.
A few months later, however, Lahmeyer posted a seemingly innocent picture of his daughter wearing red shoes—apparently unaware that QAnon followers consider red shoes to be yet another sign of their imagined Satanic sex-trafficking cabal. Lahmeyer was soon caught up in a QAnon controversy of his own.
"Unfortunately, I have to say it because people are asking me," Lahmeyer wrote in a Facebook post. "I’m in no way involved in Child Sex Trafficking, pedophilia or devil worship."

Idaho lieutenant governor bans vaccine mandates, tries to deploy National Guard during governor's 2-day trip

Now that the public comment is out, we know what Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin was hiding
... Seeking to defend McGeachin’s outlandish behavior, the outside counsel McGeachin hired to represent her — a lawyer for whose services she is currently trying to bill taxpayers — made arguments so contrived and ludicrous that the judge warned him that he may have made sanctionably frivolous representations to the court.
McGeachin lost. And she didn’t just lose the lawsuit; she was treated to a tongue-lashing by the judge, who found her actions to be in bad faith and imposed a civil fine on her.
“Based primarily on the plainly inapplicable, baseless exemptions proffered by (McGeachin) in refusing disclosure, it appears to the Court that (she) would stop at nothing, no matter how misguided, to shield public records from the public,” the judge wrote.
... She didn’t want people to read that she was a “wannabe McCarthy,” as one concerned citizen wrote. It wouldn’t help McGeachin’s cause for the public to read an elected official writing, “Please mind your own business and let local officials do their jobs,” or an exasperated middle school parent who chimed in with, “There isn’t any indoctrination. What are you even talking about?”
She didn’t want people to know that for every comment in support of the committee’s work, there were about eight telling them to go pound sand, according to a count by the Idaho Capital Sun.
It certainly wouldn’t aid the committee’s witch hunt to read the serious critiques of the curriculum found in the comments, such as this one from a high school student: “As a student currently enrolled in the public education system, I strongly oppose Lt. Gov. McGeachin’s Education Task and the actions it is taking. Idaho’s current curriculums are already lacking, partially due to us being the lowest in per pupil education funding in the whole nation. In history classes, lessons about racial history of non white people is incredibly skimmed over. We need to be learning more. If teaching true history is ‘indoctrination,’ maybe you’re the ones supporting the wrong side of history.” ...

Bannon to defy Jan 6 Committee Subpoena:
https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/08/politics ... index.html
If I was served a subpoena and refused. What would be the consequences for me?
If I recall correctly, back during both of the impeachments of DJT, lots of subpoenas we're defied with no consequences (that I'm aware of).
Aren't there legal repurcussions?

I'm not a lawyer-man, but it seems like defying a subpoena is a very bad thing to do, no?
Steve Bannon has informed the House committee investigating the US Capitol riot that he will not cooperate with their subpoena to provide related documents, according to a source familiar with the matter. The source characterized Bannon's response as saying he "stands with Trump."

Some pigs are more equal than other pigs, especially concerning connected political types vs. John Q.
Surprisingly, Congressional subpoenas are pretty much toothless tigers. Defy them and the House has to go to court to enforce, lose in court then appeal. Lose appeal, raise new objections. Wash, rinse, repeat.
The Trumpaloons are banking on running out the clock past the mid terms (and Republicans taking the house) and they'll most likely be successful in the first part.

In reality, your local LEOs and courts have stronger subpoena powers than Congress does.Trump indicates he will try to assert executive privilege to prevent House investigators from getting information
Former President Donald Trump indicated on Thursday that he will try to assert executive privilege to prevent a House committee investigating the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol from getting information from certain witnesses.
A source familiar with the former President's legal strategy confirms to CNN that an attorney for Trump sent letters to some of the subpoena targets, informing them of his plan to defend executive privilege. The letters were first reported by Politico.
"Executive privilege will be defended, not just on behalf of President Trump and his administration, but also on behalf of the Office of the President of the United States and the future of our nation," Taylor Budowich, director of communications for Save America and Trump, said in a statement.
The letter, which was reviewed by the Washington Post, was sent to former Trump adviser Dan Scavino, former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, former adviser Steve Bannon and Kash Patel, a former chief of staff to then-Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller.
While the letter instructed the subpoena targets to not comply with congressional investigators, according to the Post, it is up to each witness to decide whether to follow Trump's direction....

Biden today rejected 45SHOLE's effort to claim executive privilege over presidential materials.

Idk how this will affect executive privilege claims over testimony from his staff and himself.

Biden's decision only allows the National Archives to start providing White House visitor logs and communications. Individuals that have been ordered to testify can still fight their own battle.

I made a new Tik Tok account intending to get over to the right-wing side of the platform. For one, unlike Facebook or Twitter, since my feed (FYP, for your page) aligns so well with my interests, I never come across Republicans on Tik Tok. And two, I thought I would find idiots sticking spoons to their arms (vaccinations) or some other moronic thing. Instead, what I came across was shocking.
The more I dug and the further I tailored my FYP, the more shocking the content became.
