What they should be doing is making unvaccinated porn, contracting sexually transmitted infections, along with covid, and then dying while hooked up to a combination ventilator / stimulator device that requires one to wear a rubber hood. The law goes into effect immediately and will likely go up against legal challenges, according to the Tennessean.

Schools are also prohibited from mandating proof of vaccination under the law, unless specific conditions are met. There must be at least 1,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases for every 100,000 residents within a 14-day period before schools and other government entities can require vaccinations or enforce mask-wearing.

The law could force some businesses to determine whether to abide by federal or state laws. Under a mandate from the Biden administration, the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration will require employers with 100 or more employees to guarantee workers have gotten COVID-19 vaccines or weekly testing. A federal appeals court has temporarily stayed that mandate.

Schools could also be caught between state and federal mandates. Metro Nashville Public Schools spokesperson Sean Braisted told the Tennessean that system administrators are conflicted between federal and state mandates....

Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Utah are among the states contesting the legality of the federal vaccination mandate, which has created an uproar among Republican politicians across the country. More than half of all US states have so far filed or joined lawsuits in opposition to the mandate....

This whole anti vaccine hysteria is being driven by fringe "medical experts" and "patriots" with more than a few just downright ignorant people. But what's so tragically funny about all of it is that these GOP governors, their staffs, and their friends and families all have probably been vaccinated. The governors are intentionally cultivating and making policy based solely on ignorance and some sort of perceived pseudo patriotism or garbled concept of freedom. I really would never have believed this type of shit if I had not actually seen it happen.

Europeans are generally better informed, more intelligent, and more practical and realistic about pretty much everything than Americans are. As an example, most Europeans speak more than one language whereas a lot of Americans can't even master their own language, much less try to learn another one.

Americans tend to spend way too much time thinking about "I" and way too little thinking about "we." Sure you can find lots of individual examples where a town "got together" for some cause or other, but overall America has a "me first" attitude, which made it easy for Trump to sell his "America First" debacle. I see articles or letters to papers that start out "We must..." and I just move on. There is no "we" in American anymore. "We" was last seen for a few months back in 2002, and before that apparently during World War II. I don't expect to see "we" again in my lifetime.

*French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese. The last two, just enough to get by as a tourist. And still haven't been to China, at least that I can recall.
