Won't be enough.

All else equal I prefer UNC, but I'd like to see a public school NC team have a good year and get a strong Bowl. That ship done sailed for the formerly Top 10 UNC.
Won't be enough.
Do you even realize how often you post to tell us things that you're not interested in?Ulysses wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 8:34 amOut here in coastal California, most of the football interest is in NFL. I have read that in other parts of the USA college football is much more popular than it is here. Don't know why; I do know that none of the colleges I attended over the years had much overall interest even in their own football teams. OK, the frat rats would get all excited about the Cal Bears in Berkeley. But then they'd also get excited about a full keg of beer. The fans at UC Davis seemed to be more interested in cattle and horses. Cal does have a wonderful football stadium, Memorial, which straddles a major earthquake fault (Hayward). Shake, rattle, and roll.
Carry on.
Your regional difference claim is bunk. There are many places where the NFL is more popular than college ball, duh. One big reason for it in your area is that Stanford is only sporadically successful and SF/East Bay college teams usually suck. Didn't you know?
Good boy.
I don't do either, pay attention. You've fucked up again. What's you're excuse for such stupidity?
Crap, not even close. GO @SDSU > Boise St.
Also GO, Fri:

Top 25
Colorado 4-7 > 23.5 point favorite @Utah (19) 8-3, 1st PAC12 South Division. Yeah, right.
13-28, coulda been worse.
Non-Top 25
@Texas 4-7 > Kansas St 7-4. Texas is favored by 3! :confusion-scratchheadblue: Nice 22-17.
@Iowa St 6-5 > TCU 5-6. No right-wing TX god in the Bowls.
Right-wing TX god got routed out of the Bowls.![]()
Another reason: IF North Carolina State wins, it's currently up 14-3, AND @Boston Coll 6-5 beats Wake Forest (18) 9-2, 1st ACC Atlantic Division, then plays in the ACC Championship vs Pitt rather than Wake Forest playing Pitt. Wake Forest has lost 2 of its last 3 while Boston Coll has won 2 of its last 3. Go Wolfpack, go Eagles.
Even among collapses that one was epic. Despite rooting for NCSU I felt more sympathy than excitement.
UNC basketball has 6 National Championships, 11 times in the final, 20 times in final four, rarely has missed March Madness, and ranked in top 25 297 weeks. Considered one of the most successful basketball programs ever.
College or Pro?
:?: The Iron Bowl hasn't even started yet. Your Tigers need you, WDE!

1.5 point favorite Maryland 5-6 > @Rutgers 5-6. Bowl game for one of them. Go Terps! Big 10 Network, grrr. Lookin' good so far 26-16.
Charlotte 5-6 > Old Dominion 5-6. Bowl game for one of them. ESPN+, grrr.
At least the 3rd double 5-6 game of the day. Some games I have zero interest in.
24.5 point favorite @Appalachian State 9-2, 1st SBELT East Division > Georgia Southern 3-8. Will 10-2 get them ranked. Go Mountaineers! ESPN+, grrr!!!

Aside: We can all agree that it's excellent that Clemson will not play in the ACC Championship if North Carolina State wins today.
Ugh. Wake Forest 41, Boston College 10. Go Pitt.
I agree, but it's exciting for the teams and fans, and better than having a season end.

Crap. One team, Army, won.

Top 25:
7.5 point favorite Ohio St (2) 10-1, 1st BTEN East Division > @Michigan (5) 10-1, 2nd BTEN East Division, but I'm not thrilled about it. Winner plays in the Big Ten Championship and has the inside track for a Playoff game.
No joy in Columbus today. Ohio State 27, Michigan 42. Michigan will play Iowa or WI in the Big Ten Championship, so no chance for an Ohio State recovery.
Texas Tech 6-5 > 14.5 point favorite @Baylor (8) 9-2.
Texas Tech 24, Baylor 27. So close, just missed a tying 53 yd FG as time expired.
Non-Top 25:
1.5 point favorite Maryland 5-6 > @Rutgers 5-6. Bowl game for one of them. Go Terps!
Maryland 40, Rutgers 16. Yippee!
@Temple 3-8 > Navy 2-8. Loser Bowl. Crap.
3 point favorite @Florida 5-6 > Florida St 5-6. Bowl game for one of them, but what a sad season finale for the 2 programs.
Whew, Florida hung in there thanks to a whiffed onside kick try. 24-21.
