One of many articles declaring the Fox News tree that burned up was artificial:

A man was charged with arson and other crimes Wednesday for setting fire to a 50-foot Christmas tree in front of Fox News headquarters in midtown Manhattan, police said.
The artificial tree outside of the News Corp. building that houses Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post caught fire shortly after midnight, police said.

However, that phrase has now been removed from the video . Maybe the Faux & Friends lied, or were lied to. Just from the photo of the thing, I immediately considered it a fake tree. There is no way in hell that the framework shown could be placed "inside" a real tree. It is conceivable that the "branches" affixed to the framework are/were real but after being cut off the tree and reinstalled on the framework you end up with at best a "hybrid" tree. I consider the bottom line is that virtually everything about Fox is fucked up, either initially or once whatever it is gets associated with Fox.

I'm mildly interested in whether Faux Noise will ever admit the lies - on Faux & Friends after the fire and by implication that it was a tree before the fire - but I don't have the patience to watch or research for something that would certainly be downplayed and brief if it even happens at all.
