The Food Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Is praise bread similar to cow pies?

Maybe, but Whoopie Pies are more similar.

... I like the "prairie bread", though. Or Cucomonga sweet wheat. That fits the taste.

Prairie bread. "praise bread" is similar to communion wafers, and Gaetz tweets are similar to bull pies. ;)

I just thought "praise" was just billy.p's autocorrect thinking for itself again. Didn't know there was actually a "praise bread," although I've definitely had some that was praise-worthy.

Yep, the dreaded autocorrect struck again.

It's gotta be a joke.

I mean, who the eff would want to eat one of those, when their kids are done playing with it? You know, after a few hours sitting there at room temp, growing a new crop of spoilage bacteria?

Truly disgusting.

It could be . . .

We Recreated The Viral Chicken Teddy Bear
Don't worry, it's fake.

... The raw chicken teddy bear, which went viral for the first time in 2013, is actually a piece of art by Russian artist Viktor Ivanov, who said at the time, "On the whole, it made me feel disgusted the entire time I was making it."

He added: "One should not know what it’s like to sew through skin.” ...
So, why do it?

I'll send you a bill, Whack9.

Ah, but it gets worse:
https://www.buzzfeed.com/bradesposito/c ... teddy-bear
... Ivanov isn't a stranger to...chicken skin creations. In 2013 he and fellow artist Lewis G. Burton made headlines for constructing an entire gimp suit out of chicken skin. Normal dude, normal art. It's a metaphor, or something.

Image

You can even watch a whole video of someone putting on the chicken skin gimp suit. What a day!

Well, just between you and me, you are the only one to wear it.

And yes, there is something wrong with that.

Louisiana night at the O Really's tonight. Blackened Red Snapper (OK, so it was Pacific Red Snapper, but still very good), dirty rice, fresh salad. Alexa, play Zachary Richard and Waylon Thibodeaux.

Ol' Clifton Chenier has been gone a long time but his son CJ is still playing. I saw him several times at JazzFest.
