"Anybody seen Neo lately?"
"Neobullwinkle?"
Most would likely consider that to be making light of a really sad incident.

And all that sympathy for the Musher and her dogs was overwhelming.

A little further explanation: If a moose tries to attack/stomp some dogs, but nobody gets much injured, it might make a basis for a joke. If somebody made up a story about a moose stomping something, it might even be funny. But a real story, which ended with serious injury/death to several dogs and the moose has no basis in humour.

Yep. Sad and terrifying for the women, but at least the dogs and moose weren't harmed.

Now the part where he runs away and sulks for a few hours until he can't come up with a defensible retort and then resorts to the ad hominem attacks.

Well, I don't consider that I've ever stomped anything unjustly. I don't stomp just for the hell of it; you have to earn my stomp. Same thing goes for vigorous fish slaps; they, too, must be earned.

And yet you all fawn over and cater to Neo's repeated assertions about all the animals he enjoys stomping.O Really wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:18 pmA little further explanation: If a moose tries to attack/stomp some dogs, but nobody gets much injured, it might make a basis for a joke. What's up with that?

Re: Animals
Bullshit. Nobody "fawns" over me or "caters" to me. I explained in another post to you just now that when I refer to stomping someone or something, it's a figurative term for my complete disgust with that person or thing. You have a deep and continuing problem of confusing hyperbolic comment with reality. For example, if you hear someone say "I'm gonna light a fire under his ass" would you panic and call the fire department or would you nod in understanding that in actuality no fire or asses are actually involved? Oh, shit, I hear sirens. You're an idiot.Ulysses wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 8:11 amAnd yet you all fawn over and cater to Neo's repeated assertions about all the animals he enjoys stomping.O Really wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:18 pmA little further explanation: If a moose tries to attack/stomp some dogs, but nobody gets much injured, it might make a basis for a joke. Re: Animals
Amazing how someone can be a literalist when it comes to a figurative stomp and when literal suffering happens deflects to a figurative "it was just a joke" butthurt defense.

Yeah PTSD (Post Traumatic Stomping Dementia) is certainly difficult to deal with. I don't think it's even covered by stomping insurance. sad
