Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

... The wayward animal's identity hasn't been confirmed, but some wonder if it's "Tyson the Bison." Tyson escaped last September while being unloaded at her new home at a farm in unincorporated Wauconda.

Since then, she has been seen in the area numerous times....
6 months, and there could be more than one?! Y'all need to spend more on animal control.

Great minds . . .

I've decided to start a human taxidermy operation. I figure a lot of people would rather have their deceased loved ones stuffed and mounted on a stand or placed in a relaxed posture in a chair than putting them in the ground or burning them up. I just think this concept has been neglected far too long.

:D Think of the marketing opportunities:
Super-realistic dummy for the HOV lane;
Granny "chaperone" for a teen girl's bedroom;
Angry grandpa "scarekid" defending the lawn.

Speaking of dummies:

I am on the cusp of great success with this project. I will call my place Neomortality Emporium. The ads will say "now you don't have to part with your dearly departed."

I think your idea has merit. Sort of a permanent "Bernie" exhibit. Or like stuffing and mounting Roy Rogers with Trigger. But you've got a little competition...

:lol: I seem to remember that the Russians did some maintenance on Lenin or moved him some place a few years ago. I actually got my idea for this from the University of Tennessee's body farm in Knoxville. They solicit bodies to just leave out exposed to the elements as training for forensic investigators' training.

Yeah, I know about the body farm. If they don't have Halloween events there, they should.

The articles/comments on that event were largely critical yammering on disrespect whatever, but really - what's the difference in that and the standard open casket wake? If you're going to put a dead body on display, wouldn't it be better to use a natural setting? I've always thought the body display was yucky anyway.
