Florida golfer arrested for punching 87-year-old man to death over car dispute: police
Opps.... Robert Edward Moore Jr., 76, was charged with one count of aggravated manslaughter on an elderly person on July 27....
"At the time, an unknown white male subject approached the scene of the minor accident and exclaimed, ‘What the hell, you hit my car!’" the affidavit read. "The victim admitted to hitting the vehicle with his vehicle and asked to exchange insurance information. The unknown subject then struck the 87-year-old victim in the jaw with a closed fist, pushing him backwards."
Zook attempted to protect himself with his hands, but he was unable to. Moore left after realizing that the car did not belong to him.
Zook passed away on July 16 – a day before his 88th birthday. Authorities were able to arrest Moore after they discovered an article about him scoring a hole-in-one in November 2022 – he was wearing the same shorts, shoes and sunglasses as he was during the incident....

I'm slightly offended by the association. A Florida Man much like Alabama Man, and George Man wouldn't sink a good car. We hide them for a couple of weeks, give 'em a good brush paint job and sell 'em at the flea market.
No Florida Mans live in Miami. Most left or were drowned by NY mafia in the 60s . Those who remained disappearedVrede too wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 7:58 pmbilly.pilgrim wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 11:03 amShould you really count as Florida Man these mafia activities of New York and New Jersey mafia types while at their vacation hideouts in Florida?Vrede too wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 9:16 amFlorida Men come Lake comes through, again.

We don't know one way or the other, and it wouldn't bother me if it is retaliation, but it's not very smart of Mr Tuberhead to be whining that it's his own fault.A majority of Alabama voters want Tuberville to end his blockade of military promotions
Hey, here's a not-surprise. A new poll shows that 58% of Alabama voters want Sen. Coach Tommy Tuberville to end his one-man blockade of the nation's top military promotions.
The specific language of the poll was whether voters believe Tuberville "has made his point" and should "now allow" the promotions to move forward. Just 36% of voters said Sen. Football should continue to block promotions "endlessly." Another 45% say Tuberville's action has made them view him less favorably.
None of this is good news for Tuberville, who has made a name for himself during his brief Senate career mostly for stunts like this and for being racist. Tuberville has premised his unilateral hold on top-end military promotions on the military's new post-Roe policies allowing administrative leave and travel cost reimbursements to service members stationed in anti-abortion states who must travel elsewhere for abortion care.
Tuberville is also claiming that the cancellation of plans to move Space Command headquarters from Colorado to Alabama is meant as retaliation against his blockade. The Biden administration is claiming that's not true, and that they're just reversing another one of the last-minute Trump decisions the seditionist and his allies tried to saddle them with before leaving the White House, but Tuberville has been claiming it's true in front of his own voters. It's quite possible they believe him, and just as possible that he's now convinced them he's to blame for losing out on that prestige because of his one-man blockade....
That's too many christofasist misogynists.... While a slim majority -- 54 percent -- of respondents agree with Tuberville’s position that the DOD policies should be reversed, 58 percent of those polled said the senator “has made his point and should now allow senior military promotions to move forward,” the poll found.
That's a lot of Trumpettes opposing Mr Tuberhead.Another 36 percent of respondents said the senator “should continue to block all senior military promotions endlessly,” while 13 percent were unsure of what Tuberville should do.
Respondents who cast ballots for Donald Trump in 2020 -- who comprised 58 percent of the poll’s sampling -- were split on Tuberville’s block, with 41 percent saying he should stand down and 40 percent supporting the senator’s move.
Only 8,000 out of 1.4M? The military is stronger and safer for having shed the COVIDiots, not that a chickenhawk like Mr Tuberhead would know one way or the other.Nearly three in four voters said the promotions of military officers “should be free from politics.” Tuberville’s hold is freezing the nominations of more than 300 officers, including President Biden’s nominee for chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
A plurality of voters -- 45 percent -- said they view Tuberville less favorably since learning of his tactics, while 26 percent said they view him more favorably. Another 23 percent said the hold hasn’t made a difference in their opinion of Alabama’s senior senator while 6 percent said they were unsure.
A majority of voters -- 55 percent -- said they believe Tuberville’s hold hurts national security, while 25 percent said it has no impact on national security. Another 9 percent said the senator’s move helps national security while 11 percent were unsure....
In a fact sheet Tuberville’s office dubbed “The Real Threat To Readiness: Joe Biden’s Extreme Agenda,” the senator cited the discharge of 8,000 soldiers for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine
How awful that the minority-heavy military welcomes minorities.and DEI programs for impacting readiness.
He also claimed “liberals’ divisive anti-American rhetoric and identity politics” caused military recruitment shortfalls under Biden.

If so, the Constitution appears to allow them to move after they are elected.
If not, dems shouldn't have allowed them to play
... The couple have three children. Following complaints that, after becoming attorney general, he was not abiding by a statutory requirement that the attorney general must reside within the city limits of the state capital (Jefferson City), Hawley began renting an apartment there, while his family continued to live in Columbia, Missouri. I would support laws that require pols to live in their district/state or immediately lose their seat. Maybe there should be an exception for pols that are redistricted out. Should nonresidents be forced to abandon their family home when it's not their fault that they're suddenly nonresidents?

O Really wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 12:23 amResidency is a bit of a sticky wicket, and is often confusing. You've got two conditions, "resident" and "domiciled" and they aren't exactly the same. States like people to be residents, because they can collect taxes. They're less lenient about certifying domicile because then you can vote and run for office. Residence is often determined by how much of the year you stay somewhere, or whether you have a job in state or send your kids to school. Domicile is more what might be considered your "real home" no matter where else you roam. It's not always completely determined by whether you currently have a real dwelling. In the case of congresscritters, they're probably legal residents of Virginia or somewhere, but are legally domiciled in their home state. So fixing the residence requirements isn't all that simple, but I'd agree that House members should be required to have some real, demonstrable, and significant connection with their district, and Senators with their state.
It's not so clear whether Santa Rosa Beach, Florida resident Mr Tuberhead is still a legal AL Senator. Detailed discussion of Tommy's situation and residency requirements in general:billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 7:28 pmDid tubby and hawley live in their state when elected?
