Note that last year bama had an uncharacteristically high number of penalties.

"Alabama has committed the least amount of penalties despite playing more games than every other team not named Georgia. The Tide is the only team to average under five penalties per game."

Hopefully our upcoming trip to Berkeley adds a win. Kinda shitty that the game will be playing well after midnight for our boys - 9:30 CT starting time
I wonder if that's a west coast tactic. Hopefully the new A&P+Gcc has addressed it. That 7:30 starting time would be 10:30 for y'all.

I can accept dirty tricks to mess with a visiting team, but messing with the fans back home seems unlikely. I think scheduling is more a matter of local benefits, conference wishes and broadcaster demands. Profitability is key, IMO.

At great risk to my credibility, I'm calling the fsu/lsu game early. Semiholes win

Yes. I don't care if cattle and swine are offended. I might like the mass harmonization of the FSU chant if it didn't represent racial mocking.

You don't know cowbells. You really don't.
In the sec the school bands are the only artificial noise makers allowed. It's a great rule. Due to lack of enforcement and all the whining after enforcement was attempted a special Mississippi State exemption was created allowing them to use the bells at the same time as the bands.
We make plenty of noise without whoopi sticks, whistles and bells. You gotta love the piggies cheer

Thanks for the cowbell context, but it doesn't make them less obnoxious to me.

Cowbells almost cost us the national championship in 2010. They never stopped. It seems the $25,000 sec fine wasn't a deterrent in a million dollar game.

 The Daboos just fumbled away the ball on the Duke 10!

Edit, 10:33 - 4th: Holy crap, again! The Daboos just fumbled away the ball on the Duke 1, scooped and run back about 65 yards. Duke capitalizes with a beautiful 9 yard run + 2 points, 21-7!!!!!!

Good on bammer

https://www.tuscaloosanews.com/story/sp ... 760736007/

"So, the Crimson Tide doesn't have to meet the SEC requirement of at least 2,000 visiting tickets located in the lower level of the stadium. And Alabama won't. All 5,000 visitor tickets, which include seats for the band, will be in the upper deck."

As texas did to bammer last year.

Wtf is wrong with texas?

Nice to see sportsmanship in action.

I don't know who makes these decisions in Texas or Bammer, but IMNVHO neither of them are mature enough to hold their job. Somebody at a high level in a major university approves stuffing the visitors in crappy second tier seats? Seriously? I probably won't even ask what they do to the visitors' locker room. Hell, they probably send people with cowbells to run up and down the hallways in the visitors' hotel.

That was the worst performance by the Pussies since before they began their assault on the Playoffs years ago, IMO.
Duke last beat a Top Ten team, also the Pussies, in 1986!
Largest margin by Duke over the Pussies since 1936! 28-7.
2 ranked NC teams? I think that may have happened briefly last season, but I'm not sure.

8-5 on the weekend with 2 huge upsets including CO > RW god.

As dirty as bama can be, see Cam, they have never done this before. I see nothing wrong with handing back to texas what they gave. They'll be in the sec next year where they'll be given much better seating. See sec rules for visitor seating in my earlier post.

Texas a&.m also used seating in a way to disadvantage the visiting team. They threw a real panty wadding hissy fit when they were told they couldn't put their student seating up against the opposing team so they could drown out communications between coaches and players. They called it their 12th man.

Again wtf is wrong with texas?

This doesn't seem right either. Georgia was a favorite team until that mark richt or however his name is spelled. There was a dirty side to him, as there is with kirby sabin.

https://atozsports.com/nashville/tennes ... tradition/

"The Vol Navy is a proud and longstanding Tennessee tradition. With origins dating back over 60 years, Tennessee faithful sail down the Tennessee River and up to Neyland Stadium well before UT games, with drinks, music, and laughter abundant among the orange-clad Vol faithful on their dockside flotilla."

Thus year a riverboat (ticket good for 5 drinks) with 200 drunks will do their best to disrupt the event.

What's next - break the China and steal the silver in The Grove
