Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to [sic] costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these “Orders” will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!
Always a victim.
It’s not clear what Trump is talking about regarding never-before-seen lawfare.
The federal cases have been shut down and Joe has zero control over the other cases. Moron.
His complaints about Biden issuing executive orders are also strange, considering Biden is still the president for another two weeks and has full executive authority to take actions.
Civics much?
Trump was griping on social media at the same time Congress was certifying his electoral win. Exactly four years ago on this day, Jan. 6, 2021, 147 Republicans in Congress refused to certify Biden’s electoral win after spreading Trump’s lie that the election was stolen from him when in fact he lost by a lot to Biden.
GOP lawmakers did this hours after hundreds of Trump’s supporters broke into the Capitol building in search of then-Vice President Mike Pence and then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), among others, with some rioters having stated plans to kill them for certifying Biden’s win.
Trump egged on his supporters the whole time, but the mob failed. Still, their violence resulted in more than 140 police officers injured, several officers dying by suicide, countless lawmakers and Capitol employees terrorized and more than $2.7 million in property damage to the Capitol building....
I no longer believe in American exceptionalism. I certainly did before Jan. 6. I don’t any longer. I think there’s a lot of decent Americans ― I’ve served with them in the police department, known them in the military and in other areas, that are deeply devoted to this country and the Constitution and to just being decent humans. But I don’t think those are the prevailing characteristics of the average American. I think the average American is cowardly and selfish.

... “I don’t believe we live in a democracy anymore,” Fanone said. “I believe democracy in this country is dead, and it died when the Supreme Court granted the president of the United States immunity for official acts and then failed to define what the fuck official acts are.”
The Supreme Court’s ruling in Trump v. United States in July found that as long as something could be shaded as an “official” act, prosecution was off the table....
A group that played a key role in Donald Trump’s voter outreach to the Arab American community alongside his allies is rebranding itself after the president said that the U.S. would “take over” the Gaza Strip.

Running away from themselves.

... She could risk looking hypocritical by making clean breaks with Biden on policies she had supported as vice president, rejecting parts of their record to forge her own agenda. She could identify new issues to run on that avoided the pitfalls of turning her back on the Biden era. Or she could rely on voters to see her gender, her genes, and her “lived experience” — a middle-class upbringing, schools outside the Ivy League, and a career as a prosecutor — as symbols of change.
Biden and his loyalists took the first option off the table.
He would say publicly that Harris should do what she must to win. But privately, including in conversations with her, he repeated an admonition: let there be no daylight between us. “No daylight” was the phrase he had used as a vice presidential candidate in 2008 to bind Republican nominee John McCain to an unpopular president, George W. Bush....
Irony. At the time I wondered why she wasn't IDing any differences with Joe.
I attributed donold's victory to a lazy and uninformed electorate that wasn't paying attention.
Guess some of the electorate has started to pay attention.
Facebook/Tik-Tok brain rot
The US feels like a cartel/mafia with a state now. We're just shaking down countries for benefits and protection rather than acting as the "leader of the free world" or whatever like we used to claim.

We have relinquished that title. No one is looking to the U.S. for leadership.
Not just geopolitically but now financially. It was the run against Bonds during the turmoil that scared DonOld and made him fold.

That's what I was thinking. Whatever is dominating the TikTok conversation is where the youth will go. What's up with 45-64 year olds? I'd think there would be some level of disapproval.

We've spoiled trust, predictability and confidence for years to come.
We've been creating what passes for a middle class in China for fifty years. During that time we decimated our own. All for cheap labor. Plenty of people pointed this out during that entire time. They were all ignored. trump thinks he can magically fix in a short time what took fifty years to fuck up. I have often thought how ironic it is that China, a Communist country, beat us at own game, created a pseudo middle class (as well as a few billionaires), and has enjoyed a trade surplus with us all the time. I'd say they've done pretty good. Because we facilitated it and expanded it. And now trump comes along with his lying and whining.

I really think it's a combo of social media and smartphones becoming so ubiquitous. Everyone is connected 24/7 with the most batshit stupid content being piped into their minds. People are also just plain fucking stupid in this country and proud of it.
