As of early Sunday, there were no signs of the National Guard troops on streets in the Los Angeles area. The protests had died down but organizers have called for more demonstrations later on Sunday.

I can't find any instances in past EO's where protests/riots were framed as a rebellion against the United States. I think that's something completely new and rather unnerving.

What are the possible ramifications as framing protesting ICE raids as rebellion?

- Pathway to involve the military whenever and wherever dissent occurs in the form of protests.
- Aiding or siding with a protest can be labelled as an insurrection/rebellion. Felony for protesting?

Then, they can call for mutual aid from surrounding communities, state troopers and even federal offices like ICE, FBI, Marshals, etc. All of these are trained in everything from crowd control to civilian arrest procedures. Otoh, the NG is trained to kill, period. They are not "better cops", silly. If they should use that skill and murder some protesters, there will rapidly be 100K in the streets. Most will be nonviolent, but not all. Smart, Jasmine.
