The homophobic thread :>

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Yeah, a fucking obsession. Find something to lie and whine about, then when that proves to be bullshit find something else. Some of the GQP are now demonstrating this concept....where they cry that "I didn't know that was in the biol" or some other lame ass nonsense. Hell, they were working on it for months. They must be really stupid to not know what they were debating. Or maybe they just know that a good part of their voters are stupid enough to go along with virtually anything they do. Personally, I'll take stupid voters for a thousand. Just look at the cat pan. He proves it daily You don't see his drivel but I assure you he's a true believer and will never be otherwise. In spite of any evidence he may be presented with. I like how he's stuck on this "gated community" nonsense. Those tax cheaters and fraudsters trump pardoned the other day bragged about living in a gated community in Atlanta after growing up poor. That kind of reality.....pardoning tax cheats and fraudsters who live in gated communities is just peachy. But all others who aren't tax cheats and assholes who live in gated communities are vile liberals. The ignorance is rather glaring to most. But not to a cultist. hilarious
 Nailed it.
 So predictably ignorant.....reminds me of the guy with five penises; his pants fit him like a glove.

O Really
Milk was serving as a diving instructor at Naval Station, San Diego when he was expelled. Maybe you could propose a statue on city, county or state land outside the base to honor Milk and deliver a :obscene-birdiered: to Hegseth.
It gets worse:
Naming

The class is named for its lead ship, John Lewis, which is named for American politician and civil rights leader John Lewis. The remaining John Lewis-class oilers will be named after prominent civil rights leaders and activists. However, news reports indicated that the USNS Harvey Milk would be renamed, with other ships in the Lewis class to be considered for renaming in the future.
 What petty, vindictive hetero White supremacist bigots they are!

Other launched ships are:
Earl Warren
Robert F. Kennedy
- some irony there
Lucy Stone - Woman's rights advocate
Sojourner Truth - launched 26 April 2025, HAH!

Under construction
Thurgood Marshall
Ruth Bader Ginsburg

On order
Harriet Tubman
Dolores Huerta
- (migrant) labor leader
7 more

The GQP is complicit, of course:
GOP blocks Democratic effort to combat Pentagon renaming of USNS Harvey Milk

... Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Thursday attempted to pass a resolution via unanimous consent that objected to the Pentagon’s directive to rename the ship but was blocked by Sen. Ted Budd (R-N.C.).
Asshole. Sorry, America :( Budd represents NC's history of bigotry. :obscene-birdiered:
... “The Navy has seen fit to honor these civil rights icons – who spent their lives fighting for the rights of the American people – by naming ships in their honor. We learned this week, however, that the secretary of Defense does not share the view that these leaders are worthy of the honor of recognition that the Navy has bestowed upon them,” Schiff said on the floor.

“Today I offer a simple resolution,” Schiff said. “It says that the Senate believes that it is important and worthwhile to honor civil rights leaders by naming ships after them, and it expresses the Senate’s view that the Department of Defense should not seek to remove these names.” ...
 Hero.

No reason to fret:
Pete Hegseth Is No Match for the LGBTQ+ Community

We have overcome worse. We will overcome Pete Hegseth and his pathetic ilk. And we will do it together. Queer people, fair-minded people, soulful people who aren’t scared of a name on a boat.

Happy Pride.
Happy Pride, y'all.

Renaming the Harvey Milk? Symbolizing that "we no longer choose to honor this person"? B-b-b-but whuddabout the "erasing history" village idiots who bring out their torches and pitchforks at any suggestion to take down a statue of some obscure traitor? Wasn't Milk a historical figure? Yeah, well, bigotry has no rational boundaries and if bigots had brains they wouldn't be bigots.

Simone Biles Blasts ‘Truly Sick’ Swimmer Riley Gaines: ‘Should be Uplifting the Trans Community’

Simone Biles hit back at former collegiate swimmer and OutKick host Riley Gaines Friday after she shared a celebratory post from the Minnesota State High School League after Champlin Park High School, which includes a transgender pitcher, won the state championship.

“You’re truly sick,” Biles tweeted at Gaines, who had commented the win was to “be expected when your star player is a boy.”

“All of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,” Biles continued. “You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!!”

“But instead … You bully them …,” she continued. “One thing’s for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!” ...
Good on hero Simone. She had no direct need to take on the issue.

I don't mind that Riley Gaines expressed her opinion, but she's turned fair swimming talent into a MAGA bigotry career :puke-left: Gaines tied for fifth place with openly trans woman Lia Thomas in 2022 and has been whining about it ever since. :violin:

USA TODAY Sports columnist Nancy Armour:
Simone Biles shows her greatness again in standing up for transgender community | Opinion

... Most of us could never do what Biles does as a gymnast. But we can do what she does as a human: Be kind. Defend the most marginalized.

And when you get the opportunity to stick up to a bully, do it at full throat.

In a world of Riley Gaineses, be a Simone Biles.

Just curious: What are your definitions of “homophobic” and “transphobic”?

If I disagree that gays should be allowed to marry, does that make me homophobic?

If I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle, does that make me homophobic?

If I disagree with trannies being allowed to participate in women’s sports, does that make me transphobic?

Keep in mind that phobic doesn't just mean 'fear of'. It's also 'antipathy towards'.

If I disagree that gays should be allowed to marry, does that make me homophobic?

Yes, you would deny rights that you enjoy, the very definition of bigotry.

If I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle, does that make me homophobic?

"lifestyle" indicates that you're deluded that it's a choice. Please tell us all about your test drives.

If I disagree with trannies being allowed to participate in women’s sports, does that make me transphobic?

Depends. There are multiple definitions of trans involving what degree of physical and hormonal transition might be sufficient. Then, do you prefer the authoritarian solution where a ban is imposed by big government, or do you prefer the more libertarian solution where these issues are decided by the respective athletic associations?

That's disappointing, but you're entitled to your view. But let me ask you about marriage. Many if not most who object to gay marriage do so on religious grounds, often quoting that obscure and misinterpreted Leviticus quote. And there is some reason to that if one follows a religion, and a marriage is considered a religious ceremony, then one could look at marriage like participating in some other ritual, or being allowed to be buried in the church cemetary - you've gotta be a member/believer.

But - marriage is also a civil contract, with no relationship to any religion whatsoever. The language of the marriage contract is a lot sloppier than most contracts, but it is equally valid. So you're saying that if Heather and Hugh want to enter into a civil contract, that's OK, but if Heather and Buffy want to enter into an identical contract, you think the state should treat citizens Heather and Buffy differently from Heather and Hugh. Would your objection be the same if Heather and Buffy wanted to enter a contract to buy a house together? To form a partnership for a business? If Heather and Buffy can enter into a contract for a hundred purposes but not marriage, you got a lotta 'splaining to do.

Interestingly, the concept and term of marriage has only been around for about 800 years, it post dates the Bible by a long shot.

Marriage for love has been around a whole lot less than that. Arranged marriages were the norm, sometimes dissolving after the birth of offspring.

What about polygamy to name one variant?

There were certainly marriages in the Bible.

I believe that marriages between same sexes are an abomination against God.

Tell us, do you also condemn:
working on the sabbath, eating shellfish, vision defects, trimming the hair around one's temples, touching the skin of a dead pig, planting two different crops in the same field, marrying non-virgins, female teachers and bosses, and women with "hair braided, or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes"?

Or do you support:
burning bulls on the altar as a sacrifice, involuntary servitude, murdering involuntary servants, forcing an unengaged maiden to marry her rapist, polygamy, and executing unwed non-maiden, blasphemers, parent-cursers and adulterers?

All of these are lifted from the SAME OT Bible books that y'all lift the proscriptions against homosexuality from. Admit it, this is about your vile bigotry and not taking biblical so-called infallibility as a whole at all.

In fact, Jesus never said one word about gays, not one. All of this selective hate comes exclusively from your sad kind.

We are not under in Old Testament law.

The New Testament also condemns homosexuality. Jesus is the living embodiment of God’s Word.
