Donald Trump defends Chinese nationals buying America's farmland

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-d ... p-11957997
President Donald Trump defended Chinese purchases of U.S. farmland during a trip to Beijing this week, arguing that restricting foreign ownership would hurt American farmers by driving down land values.

The remarks, delivered during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, marked a sharp reversal from Trump’s previous hardline stance on Chinese ownership of American agricultural land and immediately intensified concern among farmers and national security hawks already uneasy about Beijing’s growing footprint in U.S. agriculture.

“You want to see farm prices drop, you want to see farmers lose a lot of money? Just take that out of the market,” Trump said when asked about Chinese nationals purchasing farmland and land near military installations.
A large portion of America's farmers will still continue to vote as we all expect, further fucking themselves, their children and grandchildren, and expect us all to sympathize and cry for them as theyre forced to become serfs for some agro-corp after selling the family farm. I'll reserve my sympathy for those that didnt choose this.

I started to joke "the art of the fail" but then I realized Trump hasn't failed at anything that matters to him. He lives in ridiculous luxury, gets constant adulation, exerts enormous power over others, has few if any effective limits, and rolls in billions to himself. He's only an abject failure in things that matter to everybody else.

That can't be enforceable, besides they'll be plenty of current and future issues to nail them on.

SCOTUS will define "enforceable", right? :problem:

Eventually, won't begin to be tested until 2030.

Correct. Gaining control of the Senate is crucial to prevent Moron Don from replacing aging justices.

Copper tubing for a sink stand; piping going nowhere into the side of the sink; no front tire on the van ...
it's like one of those "find things wrong in this picture" games.

It's a great representation of the US Department of "Education" though.

Mmm, burgers.

Departing GOP Sen. Goes Scorched Earth On Trump Slush Fund, MAGA-Backed Texas Candidate And More
Sen. Thom Tillis seemed to take a "nothing to lose" approach during a scathing CNN interview on Sunday.

Outgoing North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis (R) went all-in on his criticism of President Donald Trump and his administration during a scorched-earth appearance on this weekend’s “State of the Union.”

Seeming to embrace a “nothing to lose” strategy while talking to CNN’s Jake Tapper, he railed against a potential peace deal with Iran, the president’s freshly allocated “Anti-Weaponization Fund” and Trump’s candidate of choice in a hotly contested GOP runoff for a U.S. Senate seat in Texas.

Tillis, who last year announced he would retire when his term wraps at the start of 2027, called the Department of Justice’s $1.776 billion settlement pool for what it described as “victims of lawfare” a “bogus ... payout pot” that he found “stupid on stilts.”

“You’re talking about people who assaulted Capitol police officers on January the 6th, were then convicted,” he said. “Many of them pled guilty, or they were convicted by a jury of their peers. They could be eligible for this.”

 GoLame Duck NC Sen TillisGo!
... On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The media said how brave he was to take me on, but he wasn’t brave, he was just the opposite — HE WAS A QUITTER!” ...
:crybaby: in Chief, as usual.
In response, Tillis told Tapper, “If the Republican Party stands for standing with insurrectionists who assaulted police officers, turning a blind eye towards” Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions, and negotiating an Iran deal that may be “subpar” to the Obama-era agreement Trump scrapped in 2018, “then don’t call me a Republican. Just call me a conservative.”

Not that I agree with the hawkish Mike Pompeo, but it's funny that Steven Cheung screeches about "professionals," when the topic is foreign and military policy.

Cheung is a college dropout who has held a series of PR and campaign jobs for pols, was fired during the first Dolt .45 admin*, and has been WH comms director for just over 1 year.

Mike Pompeo
West Point grad, first in his class
Retired from the Army as a captain
Juris doctor from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review and the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy
Worked as an attorney until 1998
Entrepreneur in the aerospace and oilfield industries
US Rep from 2011 to 2017, KS4
Director of the CIA
Secretary of State
Author
Instructor
Various business and policy positions

"professionals", Stevey? What planet do you live on?
