Gun Legislation

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

The sad thing is you idiots spout about "saving lives" yet when 25 people get shot in a 48 hour period in one of the most stringent gun regulation areas you ignore the fact and create comparisons to deflect from the fact that increased gun regulation does not work.
Mad R, do you actually have a legitimate rational argument to make or are you just looking for attention?

Coming from the forum troll.....LMAO. Add something to any conversation here other than your usual bull$#!t and you might gain an ounce of credibility from which to ask such a question. Until then go play on the railroad tracks and let the adults talk.

You mean like this?
Your paranoia and obsession with other people is quite clear...as is your total inability to debate. Yep, you've made it quite clear you can take the heat....so clear in fact, you have proven yourself an idiotic moron with a juvenile mental state.
That's an adult talking?

Too funny.

We're clearly dealing with a person of limited thinking skills and social skills. The question is why should someone with no more sense, and no more shame, and no more self respect be given unfettered access to firearms? This guy is just a clock tower short of a full blown sniper attack.

Why should you of all people be allowed to posses firearms?

Why not? Just because I can throw your 5th grade insults back at you is no indication of what my real mental capacity is. You would not know me if you walked past me on the street or even sat in the booth across from me in McDonalds. So again....why not?

So you're so brilliant you can't think of a single reason? Think harder. I'm sure you can do it.

Notice the attempt at an actual conversation turned aside by yet another insult. You asked a question that requires no answer. I gave you the opportunity to explain why I should be denied the ability to own a firearm based on your vast knowledge of myself and my mental capacity from this forum. You chose more of the usual waste of bandwidth.

Yes you ducked my question. Can you answer it? Why should you be allowed to own firearms? It's a simple question. Can you handle it?

So Roland - if you don't like my broad-brush numbers, and you don't like Vrede's more detailed and specific numbers, let's see yours. Show us that NYC has higher gun violence than other more gun-friendly cities. In fact, show us any credible data that shows a positive correlation between restrictive gun laws and increased gun violence. We'll wait.

OK, why should I be allowed to possess firearms. I'm over 18 years of age, with a clean bill of health, no prescription meds of any kind, no criminal record of any kind, no mental health issues of any kind, and based on that information the United States Constitution allows me to. I'll go one further...why should I possess firearms? That is all a purely subjective matter basedon personal opinion and the individual purposes for various guns.

Now, I answered your question...answer mine. Why should I not be allowed to possess firearms???

What about Chicago? We all know some areas of Chicago have among the highest crime and violent crime rate in the country - almost as high as Spartanburg. Show us the data. I don't have to look up data to support your point. If you have a point, support it yourself.

Well Roland, for one thing there's your temper. Should a person as temperamental as you be allowed a firearm? There's also your deception? Should someone who can't be trusted to be truthful be allowed to own a firearm? There's also some psychiatric concerns. For instance, your anger over being caught at your deception, instead of shame, as a normal person would feel, indicates possible psychopathic tendencies.

But I do like that you offered some conditions as to why you should be allowed firearms. This indicates that you acknowledge that there are reasons a person shouldn't be allowed to own guns. So you do agree that gun control is necessary. So where do you draw the line? What should prevent someone from owning a tool designed to kill?

Those are questions the hard core gun, ummm "enthusiasts' arent' going to answer. Admitting that anyone, no matter how looney, should be restricted from owning whatever weapon s/he wants means just one step closer to "Obama coming to take our guns."

Was it Dolt-ective Thorn or Butt Ugly who could never figure out that someone making an assertion was responsible for providing evidence when asked?

I kind of think it was Butt Ugly, but he didn't really believe in facts ... just his "original ideas" -- i.e. fabricated bullshit.

Anyway, it's a common trait of the lazy, indolent, and uninformed.

Roland reminds me of a 30 something woman fresh off a divorce who drank too much at a bar and slept with a frat boy and is now angry the kid doesn't want to have a relationship with her.
