I'm a political pessimist, but that list has me hopeful. It will not just be the impact of the votes in Congress but also the effect of a chastened GQP.
I can't help thinking there are a lot of repugs who are sick and tired of Tru*p and his bullying and chaos and who are (very) secretly glad for a wipeout.
I'm cautiously optimistic with recent memories of getting burned still fresh.
Congresscritters in the republican party may be secretly relieved too. They are much better at providing outraged soundbites for the talking heads with no actual responsibilities than actually governing.
If there is a blue wave it'll be more of an exhale sense of relief than jubilation.
Eamus Catuli~AC 000000000101010202020303010304 020405....Ahhhh, forget it, it's gonna be a while.

Many, many, many are also heavily non-White districts, but SoupySales tells us MAGA isn't racist and there's no voter suppression.
I'm pretty sure Supes is yanking our chain. Anybody who really believes MAGA hasn't done its best to suppress the effect of black/brown voters wouldn't be able to feed themselves.

Love the Polymarket pic. I'm glad that Bernie! and AOC did their anti-billionaire tour earlier this year in swing states deflecting criticism of democratic socialism. It would be interesting to see a spreadsheet matching results to states where they appeared.

His "illegal" black/brown servants do that.
When will the left realize the "race card" does not play anymore?
O Really wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 12:24 pmProbably when there isn't any demonstrable racial discrimination anymore. Is it your view that we have reached that point?
We have and will have some racism in our society forever. Having lived in the South my entire life I see so much less racism.
"some"? The campaign we've just endured has been incessantly about GQP racism.
If Jim Crow is your reference point, sure, but you "see so much less racism" from your White southern enclave in retirement.
Virginia US Sen - Dem! Mark Warner. Red state not long ago.
DoJ agents caught interfering in NM elections with voter intimidation . The NM Sec of State has chased them out. NH, DE, MA, RI for US Sen - Dem! NH was a battleground. 2 gerrymandered FL districts - Dem! Hah! NC Gov - Dem! Roy Cooper, of course My NC11 - Dem! Wow, just wow. SoupySales called it. FL Gov - GQP, barely MAGA Wingnut Donalds succeeds DerSantis.
