Or you still don't know what you're talking about. Your ISP assigns your IP address. Your organization designs the system determining how many servers you have and how many addresses you need. I have no idea how many servers the City of Asheville or Buncombe County uses. Stop trying to apply what I said about a couple of buildings at the University of Florida to your situation. All I did was correct your mistaken notion that IP addresses are assigned to individual devices.
Why are you backtracking now liar. You made a rather definitive statement there a bit ago. Funny thing was you let your big mouth spout off before you thought....wait you are incapable of thought....anyway you let go of ohbutboys schlong long enough to open that big maw and screwed the pooch at the same time by debunking your forum defective's entire argument.

I'm not backtracking or lying. You're just illiterate and incapable of intelligent thought.
Typical Republitard. Doesn't know what he's talking about. Can't understand the issue. Doesn't know the facts. Assumes he knows more than anyone else and is automatically right because, after all, he was smart enough to vote for Bush twice. Accuses the other person of lying because the facts don't fit his belief that he must be right.
Must be a scandal. Call Darrell Issa so he can start another witch hunt.
You said the terminals would have different IP addies. I said it was the server, not the terminal that determined the IP addie. That is true.
I said that I could post from any one of a thousand terminals at UF (plus or minus a hundred -- computer science building) and all would show the same IP addie. That is true and debunks your foolish notion that individual terminals have anything to do with IP addies.
You made a stupid assumption that there is one central server for the whole City of Asheville. (And you stupidly added "Is that what you're now saying?" as if I had said something different. It wasn't what I was "now saying." It is what is. I didn't change my story.
I never said everything goes to one central server. That's not a requirement. UF has a large number of servers. I can go to a different building and post from anyone of hundreds of terminals and get a different IP addie. Different server; different address. How hard is that to understand?
And that's where you jumped to another conclusion -- the City of Asheville has one single server. I never said nor implied that.
And after you jumped to your conclusion, I gave a more in-depth explanation that the ISP gives you your IP address. That is true.
I said that whatever entity you work for decides how many servers, and where, and that determines how many IP addresses you ISP will give you. That is also true.
Now, so that you don't come off as a complete and utter illiterate dumbass, point out where I backtracked or lied?
Opps. Couldn't do it? Well, you must be a complete and utter illiterate dumbass who let your big mouth spout off before you thought ... wait. You are incapable of thought.
The only think I debunked was your mistaken notion that terminals determine IP addresses. Admit your stupidity and move on.
