Re: The Religion Thread
Could be. But way too frequently I run into instances where a guy who wasn't even born when the CRA-64 was passed somehow thinks it's OK to discriminate in some unlawful way - and mostly they don't even know they're discriminating. The law prohibits it, the employer's policy prohibits it, the idiot has been sent to training about it, every supervisory training course in the world covers it, but still...
The fact that there are a lot of them doesn't mean they are related or create a pattern, nor that those in authority condone it.
I've also found that rarely do people consider "use common sense" to be in their job description.

Re: The Religion Thread
This gay marriage stuff.... the nutjob political forum was praying about this issue and it didn't go their way. Does this mean that God didn't care enough to answer the prayer, or God did answer the prayer and this is what God wanted? Since nothing happens without God's approval, it seems that they are on Satan's side?
Also, how is this against the constitution when equal rights is built into the constitution? Have those guys even read it? Where does the constitution outlaw same sex marriage?
Thoughts CPF readers? You know we can't post in fascist land!
//Know they won't answer cause..... there is no logic to it whatsoever.

Keyboarder at the bottom of the thread says that the Spartanburg forum shut down because the administrators supported free speech.
How does one get this stupid?

Re: The Religion Thread
If seeing a posted picture on Facebook of two Sodomites kissing, that's not exactly a deliberate "searching online" for pictures of men kissing, is it?
Not that I'm a Pat Robertson fan, but in his defense, you don't have have to search online for Sodomites, they're plastered everywhere.

By Sodomites do you mean republicans? "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy." Sure sounds like Sodomites were very similar to today's republicans.
BTW, B, I though you were going to link to my supposed defense of Islam? Or admit you made it up. Or should I just assume you're another Vrede.

No.

By that example, that handle could apply to any politician. BTW, if you thought that was an insult to my political persuasion.......it wasn't.

Assume what you wish. You were the one who went all gaga over my post about Muslims, therefore your "defense of Muslims" began there.
How soon we forget.....(conveniently, of course)

Re: The Religion Thread
We'll start with your "denigration": link Then here firstly:Ombudsman wrote:"Can you post a link just we know you have more integrity than Vrede?"Mr.B wrote: "Assume what you wish. You were the one who went all gaga over my post about Muslims, therefore your "defense of Muslims" began there.
How soon we forget.....(conveniently, of course)"
If you'll re-read my post on page 12 of "Just for Fun", you'll find I did not ridicule the Muslim's religion, rather Muslims themselves.Ombudsman wrote:"LOL - What's my point? That all you religious nuts have a way of justifying the sh***y things your religious texts tell you. Criticizing Muslims for what's in the Koran while excusing basically the same thing in the Bible is the epitome of hypocrisy. Mosaic Law, what a hoot.
Bungalow Bill made the first statement in regards to comparing Muslims and Americans and the argument that compared religions took off from there.

Re: The Religion Thread
B I'm not sure you're dishonest or just slow witted. You claimed I defended Islam. Post a link to where this occurred. My link to a humorous song in a thread called "just for fun" is no more a denigration to your beliefs than your comments about Muslims. In fact less so since it doesn't actually denigrate your religion. See here's the problem with religious nuts, you all think your opinion is something more than your opinion. But the fact is, your opinion that Jesus is the son of God, is just that. An opinion. And you do know what they say about opinions right?
