Go for it.....I wanna see 'em.
Bungalow Bill wrote:"The homophobes' last stand is going to end up like Custer's-in defeat, it will just take longer. Weren't they also attempting to make the point that federal law now trumps state law in this particular area? I think I heard that was one of the issues."
Probably will. As you say...just going to take a while. So far the federal law ain't trumped the state law, and those two women didn't make it happen either.

There's nothing I, as one person, can do to change today's habits or sway peoples opinions, therefore
there's no reason for me to be "bothered" by gay marriage or AGW....both are occurring and I'll probably be long gone before Earth freezes or scorches over or Hell bursts wide open due to overcrowding.....nothing dishonest about that opinion.
O Really wrote:"I think some religious sects used to think dancing was immoral - I don't know about the "unnatural" part."
Nothing unnatural about dancing; to my knowledge. The frowning on dancing involves the switching of dance partners (slow dancing in particular) where a married man dances with another man's wife or deliberately seeks other female dance partners.
"Some probably think gambling and drinking are immoral. They used to just tell their own members to stay away from dance halls, gambling dens of inequity, and bars. I guess now with membership dwindling, they're having to try to impose on non-members, too. Kinda like if the Amish wanted to make cars and central electricity illegal."
"They" don't have to "tell" members where they should or should not go. Once they voluntarily accept God in their lives, their own conscience is their guide. If they previously lived a worldly life, their lives are going to be closely scrutinized from then on....someone is just waiting to watch him/her make a mistake. What's "central electricity"?
"Reminds me of a joke - What is the difference in a Baptist and a Methodist? The Methodist will say hello to you when he sees you in the liquor store."
Just because one calls himself a Christian.......
Vrede wrote:Q: Why are some Baptists opposed to sex? A: Because it might lead to dancing.
Do you ever plan on getting some new material? You've worn that one out.
