I don't think jail would be an appropriate sentence. As we have discussed, the US has way too many people locked up unnecessarily. But I'd like her to be charged/convicted with a felony so that she loses her guns. Problem is, leaving a gun around for the kiddies is just a misdemeanor in gun-happy Florida anyway.

So what did she have in her back seat accessible to the 4-year old? A .45 caliber (apparently) semi-auto. How does a 4-year old fire this? Either (1)he picks it up, jacks a shell in the chamber, releases the safety and pulls the trigger; or (2) the firearm was sitting in the back seat ready to fire - shell in chamber, safety off.
