Your serial lying is defined as immoral in your Bible far more often and at a higher level (Commandment) than anything you claim is immoral.
Vrede is correct..."tick-tock" -- Immoral living and it's increase has been prophesied and man will continue to fall further into depravity.
Fortunately, my days are numbered and I won't have to live in such a totally confused, depraved world.
There's another lie, you just can't help yourself. None of that is what my "tick-tock" refers to. In fact, here's the origin that has you so distressed:

Just so. Crime has been dropping for decades. Slavery has almost disappeared. Women can vote. Other races can vote, and even become President. Mr.B-style bigotry based on race, gender, religion etc. is slowly disappearing in favor of civil rights, though the Trump alt-right win is a small setback. Environmental concerns are being recognized.bannination wrote:One problem with that, by all measures that I'm aware of, it's going the opposite direction as prophesied.
We're only "falling further into depravity" if you define good ethics and civil rights to be "depravity." Which Mr.B. does.

It's all there in black and white; it's been there for all the world to see; long before I came along.
The problem is, people such as yourself choose not to believe and highly dislike being told the life they choose to live is contrary to morality.
"Please explain to us why your God made you such an idiot and/or too cowardly to address the points made."
I'd have to say the same reason He made you the same way.
Inasmuch as "the points made" by yourself and your 'dance partner' <snicker> are nothing more than hateful banter, a reply, in my opinion, is unwarranted.

That's the rise of for-profit prisons. They bribe lobby politicians to make the problem worse. The rise in long prison terms for minor offenses isn't tied to a rise in crime rates.Mr.B wrote:But somehow prisons are overcrowded, rstrong wrote:"Crime has been dropping for decades."

A lot of religious people (of many different types) seem to feel threatened not only by those who do in fact attack or criticize them, but also by those who just don't care about their religion. It's a "with us or against us" mindset, with little in between. Say "Merry Christmas" or you're attacking Christianity. Of course, there was a time when stores were full of "Merry Christmas" and got accused of "mocking Christianity" and "commercializing Christmas". Go figure.

There's politics there, of course. Republicans enjoy a sanctimonious hissy fit when a Democrat President sends out "Happy Holiday" cards, but it's OK when a Republican President does the same.O Really wrote:Say "Merry Christmas" or you're attacking Christianity.

So far, I haven't seen much "war on Christmas" crap this year, but it always makes me wonder what these people want. I always say "Merry Christmas" when it seems appropriate, particularly on or right around December 25. But I fail to see how a "Happy Holidays" bothers anybody, no matter how religious, when you're talking about the time between Thanksgiving and New Years. Do they really consider all that the "Christmas Season" and not the "holiday season"? And that's not even to mention the other religious holidays during or around that time.

They consider Xmas their personal property, complete with the authority to determine how it should be observed (willfully oblivious to the fact that it is a "holiday" appropriated from the Pagans).O Really wrote:So far, I haven't seen much "war on Christmas" crap this year, but it always makes me wonder what these people want. I have never tried to force my 'religion' on anyone here. You just don't do that in a forum full of non-believers. I have stated my position, stood by it, have been ridiculed and cursed for it, but I will not bend to the hatred.
"I even defend it from time to time, against folks who wi** their a** with the Bible to declare themselves "clean" as you constantly do when you use it to justify your racism, homophobia, misogyny and hate."
How many points do you think you've earned off this post?
I am not "clean", never proclaimed to be. I have my faults and weaknesses; after all, I'm human and not perfect.
You accuse me of:
(1).. racism...explain my racism.
(2).. homophobia...for the hundredth time; you know.
(3).. misogyny...explain my misogyny.
(4).. hate...explain my hatred.

In relation to the subject of this thread; I give you this "cherry-picked" scripture from Revelation 21:8 :
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone......"
Of course y'all don't believe in God or the Bible, so take it for what it's worth...it's only been there in black and white for a few thousand years.

I'd say Religion, based on the element of blind religious faith in over common sense. In the crush-death case the priest justifying it with Biblical quotes, and in the insecticide case, the priest having received orders directly from God.O Really wrote:Hard to say if those belong in Religion, or in the Darwin thread. You may have hit on a legitimate argument for evolution.
