I will guess that Florida "culture' has reached the critical mass point at which it becomes and defines its own universe and lifestyle. When I still lived in NC I often wondered if there was a trail of steaming twisted metal and broken glass on the Interstate highways leading from FL to NC as stark witness to all the FL refugees that head to NC in summer and never made it (it's common knowledge that the vast majority of them can't drive worth a shit). I never investigated my theory, though, and am fine with not seeing any of them up here in TN. After all, that's another 100 miles or so and culls the flock further. I doubt if a single one of them ever made it as far as Pennsylvania.
