I never got to see Pink Floyd live, but I saw the light shows a couple of times. Not the same, but still good.
On to a totally different direction, we saw this group a couple of nights ago on a PBS begging night. Really excellent. Celtic Thunder

I'm a little less of a fan of Janis Joplin after billy.pilgrim shared.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 3:54 pmI confess to having never been a fan of Janis Joplin other than her "Take a Little Piece of my Heart" song. Now Grace Slick is another matter.
I must add that I liked Janis' "Me and Bobby McGee" but everything else she did I consider marginal at best.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:37 pmI'm a little less of a fan of Janis Joplin after billy.pilgrim shared.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 3:54 pmI confess to having never been a fan of Janis Joplin other than her "Take a Little Piece of my Heart" song. Yeah, well, Janis I consider the female Joe Cocker; neither of them could sing worth a damn but the emotion they injected into the songs was the hook. And I consider Grace Slick to be on a higher plane than Debbie by a factor of ten.O Really wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 5:01 pmJanis sometimes had some marginal musicians playing with her, but nobody ever poured themselves into a song like she did. She is not Grace Slick, but Grace Slick isn't Debbie Harry, either. I'd gladly sit on an anthill to be able to listen to any of them in person.
This is fun, too:Vrede too wrote: ↑Fri Jul 20, 2018 8:08 pmFull screen:

66 movies. “the Golden Age – meaning no title later than 1953 (although there is one at the end.) Oh, and none of these clips was sped up or slowed down.”
Brilliant, I can’t imagine how many hours must have gone into production.
"My inspiration came from":
100 Movies Dance Scenes Mashup (Mark Ronson-Uptown Funk ft.Bruno Mars)-WTM
Good, but I think Old Movie Stars is better, a lot more moments where I'm thinking 'Wow, how did they sync that so perfectly?' The student surpasses the master.
Sad, but kind of amazing that she made it to 59:O Really wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 11:44 amTawny Kitaen - RIP
