Re: Religion in America
I'M ASKING YOU, YOU GODDAMN SELF RIGHTEOUS FUCKING MORON. I SUPPOSE YOU CANNOT ANSWER THE QUESTION SINCE YOU DON'T HAVE SOME RIGHT WING NUTJOB OR RELIGIOUS FANATIC LUNATIC TO TELL YOU WHAT TO SAY ABOUT IT. ARE YOU NOT ABLE TO GO AND BUY A BIBLE? ARE YOU NOT ABLE TO GO TO ANY GODDAMN CHURCH YOU WANT TO GO TO ON ANY SUNDAY? ARE YOU NOT ABLE TO PRAY TO WHATEVER GOD YOU WORSHIP WITHOUT INTERFERENCE FROM THE STATE OR FROM ANOTHER SECT OF RELIGIOUS WHIRLING DERVISHES? WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOD HAS BEEN BANISHED FROM? WHY DO YOU THINK YOU'RE SOME KIND OF VICTIM BECAUSE OF YOUR RELIGION? IF YOU WERE A MUSLIM i MIGHT TEND TO AGREE THAT YOU'VE SUFFERED SOME DISPARAGEMENT BY THE STATE IN THE FORM OF A RACCOON EYED JUVENILE MORON AND PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, BUT YOU'RE NOT MUSLIM. CAN YOU NOT REPLY TO SOMEONE ASKING YOU TO PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU STUPIDLY ASSERT? THAT YOUR GOD HAS BEEN PUSHED OUT OF EVERYTHING?1 CAT FAN wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 12:46 pmAsk your sister. That would be a good conversation for you and her. I'm sure she would welcome it.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 12:39 pmLooks like you've bought into the narrative you've been fed. What do you think god has been removed from? You can't use "prayer at schools" because prayer groups have not been pushed out; they just have to do their praying before or after school time and they can't force everyone to participate in praying. Nothing nefarious about that. Religious dogma statues and "Ten Commandments" gimcracks have been removed from government buildings because it violates the principle of separation of church and state, something specifically written in the US Constitution. I can't think of anything else god has supposedly been pushed out of; maybe you can shed some light on that. Maybe not.1 CAT FAN wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 11:51 amI'm sure Neo's Christian sister is a wonderful person. What's shameful, for a behavioral example, are liberals pushing to remove God out of everything.
1 CAT FAN wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 8:41 amI applaud your Christian sister's efforts. You were probably religious like her at a time in your life, then something influenced you to turn your back on God. Your sister is trying to reach you with God's word through any means possible because she loves you.

Re: Religion in America
Is God really being pushed out of everything, though? Most people don't give others flak for praying or going to church or believing in God. Most people don't care what others do on their own time.

Most people, even most Christians by far, are not dishonest perpetual victim crybabies like 1 FAT CAN. It's like s/he is the one carrying that fictional cross, poor thing.

Re: Religion in America
"Free will" that incurs consequences for exercising that will is not "free will."
"Sure, Son - go ahead and marry that tramp, it's your free choice to do as you please. But if you do, don't ever darken my door or expect so much as a crumb from me."
"Free will" that must be given is not free. Action that is out of the control of the entity that created the universe is not possible.

Re: Religion in America
Nah, that's not it. What is important to me is that you don't continue to apparently believe that there's some kind of nefarious effort directed at eliminating god from "everything." I've tried to get you to explain or give examples of this, either in general or in your own personal life, but you've so far not been willing or able to. Frankly, it makes me wonder if you yourself are one of those religiously cloaked sexual predators that specialize in kids, and because in the past few years a lot of them have been exposed and currently are on a regular basis. Your short semi cryptic little postings here also make me suspicious of you in the above mentioned; that is, little curt statements like you post are the way an adult would be curt or short with a child. I hope you're not a disgusting fucking pedophile lay priest or some other kind of Associate Jesus. If you are, though, I urge you to confess. Tell your sister (if you're not having sex with her) or maybe your brother's wife (if you're not having sex with her). Or you could just give the examples of how your god is being taken from you (other than the way those who are caught doing what you may be up to....they lost their god all the way). I would urge you to put this suspicion of you to rest at your first opportunity. That is, unless you expect to never be caught.

Re: Religion in America
This is yet another example of what a pathetic pussy 1 FAT CAN is. S/he saves up quotes from months back to dishonestly take out of context and not even quote correctly just to toss out there when s/he is floundering in the current conversation.

This forum has always been "no ban" and has tolerated assholes, idiots, fools, bullies, misogynists, homophobes, and even rednecks without resorting to a ban. Except once. That once was when a poster threatened doxing and/or physical violence IRL. The poster mistakenly believed his real family had been disparaged, and basically went ape-shit. One of the things the rest of us learned from that is that it's not a good thing to use people's real life information in public anonymous forums and that doing so should produce a harsh response. Word.

I do feel kind of bad....I did post the name of my granddaughter. I should have told everyone her name was Pam Ballam. I'll know next time.O Really wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 3:24 pmThis forum has always been "no ban" and has tolerated assholes, idiots, fools, bullies, misogynists, homophobes, and even rednecks without resorting to a ban. Doesn't matter that you posted it. It's how CAT used it. From that rant, I see the barriers your Christian sister has to deal with. Glad to know she hasn't given up on you. Also good to know that she is important enough for you to accept the subscription she bought you. I'm sure she would be happy to see your acknowledgement of God in your 2nd sentence. She is a blessing in your life.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 2:48 pmNah, that's not it.
