I believe that marriages between same sexes are an abomination against God.
Yes, but a religious marriage, not a civil one.
You are entitled to believe that. I believe something different. We're both natural-born citizens - who does the state favour? Consider: You may believe marriage of two of the same sex is an abomination, but you suffer no harm if the state agrees with me. On the other hand, if the state agrees with you, I'm deprived of rights otherwise available to citizens who hold your belief. How could you explain that not being a violation of the First (religious) Amendment and the 14th (equal protection)? Feel free to use AI if you like.
I believe that marriages between same sexes are an abomination against God.
Tell us, do you also condemn:
working on the sabbath, eating shellfish, vision defects, trimming the hair around one's temples, touching the skin of a dead pig, planting two different crops in the same field, marrying non-virgins, female teachers and bosses, and women with "hair braided, or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes"?
Or do you support:
burning bulls on the altar as a sacrifice, involuntary servitude, murdering involuntary servants, forcing an unengaged maiden to marry her rapist, polygamy, and executing unwed non-maiden, blasphemers, parent-cursers and adulterers?
All of these are lifted from the SAME OT Bible books that y'all lift the proscriptions against homosexuality from. Admit it, this is about your vile bigotry and not taking biblical so-called infallibility as a whole at all.
In fact, Jesus never said one word about gays, not one. All of this selective hate comes exclusively from your sad kind.
We are not under in Old Testament law.
The New Testament also condemns homosexuality. Jesus is the living embodiment of God’s Word.
Where does the New Testament condemn homosexuality? It sure wasn't Jesus.
Then, do you believe that all peoples must be constrained by your interpretation of the Bible? Why not allow non-RW Xtians to live their lives as they see fit?

It might not hurt me personally, but the very idea of condoning same-sex marriage is a threat to the moral fabric of our society, in my view. We don’t ever want such lifestyles to be considered normal or acceptable. You may think it’s great to see younger generations accept these lifestyles. I don’t.
I fully realize what is happening here. The Bible says man will become more depraved in the end times. In my view, we are getting more wicked with every passing generation. We are becoming more accepting of perverse behavior. I can’t stop the snowball rolling down the hill. That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop trying.

Again, there is room in a (somewhat) free society for different opinions, and one doesn't have to look far to find a wide variety of religions. But what gives your view more rights under the Constitution than I, or others who don't hold your view. There are people all over the country who have their own beliefs on what the Bible or some other books says and what things will send you and the society straight to Hell in a handbasket. You've got some who think it's a grievous sin to drink. OK, but what about the rest of us who don't have that belief.

But where do these freedoms end?
What if an older man and young girl want to marry?

What's moral and what's immoral are highly subjective. Christianity itself has changed much since it's inception. Many actions and beliefs of today's Christians would likely be considered immoral or blasphemous and "harmful to the moral fabric of society" by Christians in the distant past. Probably even perverse. They'd probably make similar arguments as you for things modern Christians take for granted as normal and acceptable. That indicates to me that Christian moral mores arent as tethered to as firm of a foundation as it's followers would like to believe.
My take: I'm an athiest. I don't want to be held hostage by YOUR moral religious beliefs. I don't want you to be held hostage by mine. You do you, I'll do me. If I want to drink and sin and use the lords name in vain on a Sunday while blasting Slayer and Electric Wizard, I'm going to do it. I'm not going to expect you to do the same. None of these actions of mine harm anyone else.

What if an older man and young girl want to marry?
Like trump's press secretary and her much older husband?
And after the civil war, lots of young women married older civil war veterans just to receive that veterans' pension. I'm pretty sure the last surviving widow in that group was collecting a veteran pension until around 1917 and I seem to remember that that woman lived in Kingsport TN, my hometown.

The Bible doesn't appear to explicitly forbid this. It doesn't appear to provide any explicit age in which it's acceptable to marry. I couldn't find anything at least so if I'm wrong please correct me. Is it therefore morally acceptable for a grown man to marry a child? No!!! But the Bible appears to indicate so. Thankfully we all collectively agree this is wrong and illegal and morally repugnant.
Can we therefore conclude that the Bible is also morally perverse?

It's a pretty shaky society if its "moral fabric" is threatened by two loving adults getting married.
"lifestyles" again . You're claiming direct knowledge that homosexuality is a choice. Fine, please take us through your process to choose to be hetero and describe your test drives in detail.

True, and some other religions may be just as severe and repressive as RW christianity, but it's only RW christians who sometimes have the power here to impose their bigotry on the rest of us.

You bigots sure are obsessed with pedophilia. Hmm. You're comparing apples and pumpkins. Society has determined that young children do not have the maturity to consent. It's creepy that you don't know this.

Looks like I was wrong about civil war pensions....the last person receiving one (a femal dependent child of a veteran) dies in 2020 in a nursing home in NC. But this story from WAPO talks about how in one case a 27 yeaqr old woman married a 78 year old civil wat veteran.

Slippery slopes can also go in any direction. For the people claiming that allowing gay marriage is a slippery slope to other heinous things, disallowing gay marriage is equally a slippery slope in a different direction. Religious and morally prescriptions dictating society can also lead to extremes like the Islamic State or the Taliban. It cuts both ways.

Have you seen the Superstar Cultmaster's "Rainbow" avatar?

It's a dumb concept. Freedoms end wherever society deems they should end and sliding is not inevitable.
We have the freedom to drive cars, but we are not free to do so at any speed.
We have freedom of speech, but limitations include slander/libel, violent threats, dishonest drug claims, child and other types of porn, filing false business records DonOLD, etc.
Old men have the freedom to marry young adults, UNC coach Bill Belichick , but not young girls.

Yet, sickass leftists change little girls into boys and little boys into girls. Which were you, "Rainbow"?
If you don't like same sex marriage then don't marry same sex. Easy peasy.
If your neighbor wants to marry same sex it's none of your damn business.
The republic will not fall.
Yeah that. And the "pride" objectors should quit making it all about themselves. It's not about you, Mr Ms straight person. And it's no more stuffing it down your throats than a St Paddy day parade is making you Irish. Don't go to the parade. Don't invite your gay neighbors to your parties. Nobody cares. It's not about you.
